Make A Donation
The buttons below will take you to Paypal, where you can make a donation in any amount using any major credit card, debit card, or a Paypal account. If you’re interested in making regular recurring donations (once a month or once a year), there’s info on how to do that further on down the page.
Here’s a nifty widget you can use to make a donation, it should also show you what kind of progress we’re making towards the current monthly goal:
I’m also currently collection donations for the Laptop for Laurel fund:
And here’s a plain button for you, in case you can’t see the gadgets above:
Here’s the (now inactive) widget for March 2008, we fell short of the goal of $500, but had a late start and I took a vacation during March so that’s not too surprising I guess. Thanks to everyone who did contribute as that meant a lot.
Donate as little or as much as you feel like, whenever the whim strikes you. I’ve had people tip me with a donation because I pointed out something they really enjoyed or because I answered a question for them. Most folks just donate when they think of it and have the extra cash.
Subscriptions
Want to make regular donations to the site? You can set up recurring payments using a credit card, debit card, or Paypal account. You’ll be billed for the initial month or year right away, then re-billed a month or a year from now depending on what plan you select. You can cancel these subscriptions at any time.
Isn’t the data I provide here worth at least the price of one cup of coffee per month ($3 to $5 or so if you go for the fancy stuff)? I sure think so.

If you’re interested in an amount and schedule other than the ones listed above, please tell me what you have in mind and I can send you a link and/or add a link here.
If at any time you would like to cancel these recurring payments, it’s easy enough to do so on the Paypal site. If you have any difficulty, please get in touch with me.
Where does the money go?
Funds received in support of TVPicks.net go toward keeping the site around and to improving my work here.
The main place money goes that is donated is to pay for expenses relating to this site: web hosting bill, internet service bill, DirecTV bill, and related expenses. Funds beyond that tend to also go toward the site one way or another, often in the purchase of software, hardware, or TV-related merchandise.
Updating this website and writing about TV (and talking about TV on the radio) is currently my full-time job.
