Mark and his partner head to Utah to see someone who may have something to do with the blackout/flashforward on FlashForward (ABC, 7pm; airs again on Friday at 7pm). And Olivia comes face to face with the man from her flashforward. Lynn Whitfield and Shohreh Aghdashloo are among the guest stars. I liked the first episode, so am looking forward to this episode. Will be interesting to see what a more typical episode will be like. Joseph Fiennes stars.

Booth and Brennan investigate the death of an Amish piano prodigy on Bones (FOX, 7pm). And Cam struggles with parenting a teenager.

Elena and Stefan attend the Founder’s party on The Vampire Diaries (CW, 7pm).

Leslie judges a local beauty pageant on Parks & Recreation (NBC, 7:30pm). Louis C.K. and Chris Pratt (of Everwood) guest star.

Tonight’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy (ABC, 8pm – 9:01pm) takes place several weeks after the episodes that aired last Thursday. Izzie returns to work and the residents and doctors get awfully competitive as no one wants to be a casualty of the expected layoffs. Adrienne Barbeau and James Frain (of The Tudors) guest star. DVR/VCR Alert: Runs one minute long.

A porn producer and a drug dealer are found dead in an affluent neighborhood on CSI (CBS, 8pm). Jorja Fox continues a return engagement on the show as “Sara Sidle”.

The team investigate explosions in Philadelphia where they can’t find traces of bombs on Fringe (FOX, 8pm).

The recession hits Dunder Mifflin and word gets out that not everyone will get raises on The Office (NBC, 8pm).

Dean awakens five years in the future in a new episode of Supernatural (CW, 8pm) which was written by Ben Edlund (of The Tick) which means it’s likely to be weird and cool. Kurt Fuller guest stars.

A visit to Peru on Extreme Cuisine with Jeff Corwin (Food Network, 8pm and 11pm; also on Saturday at 6pm).

New episode of Skins (BBC America, 8pm, 11pm, 1am).

New episode of House Hunters (HGTV, 8pm and midnight).

John Michael Higgins guest stars as a teacher who is all about seizing the day on Community (NBC, 8:30pm).

A state senator’s intern is murdered, Jane tries to find out how the Red John case is going on The Mentalist (CBS, 9pm). Paul Michael Glaser (of Starsky and Hutch) and Mary Pat Gleason (of The Middleman) are among the guest stars.

Season premiere of Private Practice (ABC, 9:01pm). This show may have had the most disturbing season finale cliffhanger of last season, with one character about to have her unborn baby surgically removed against her will . . . by a mentally disturbed person who is not a doctor. Eek! Brian Benben (of Dream On) and Amanda Foreman (of Alias, Felicity) continue their guest stints on the show.

Mac and Dennis try to keep the bar afloat in the tough economic times; Frank starts a family business with Dee in “The Great Recession” episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX, 9pm – 9:31pm, 10:02pm – 10:32pm; also on Saturday at 10:30pm).

New episode of Project Runway (Lifetime, 9pm, 10:30pm, midnight).

Summer finale of L.A. Ink (TLC, 9pm and 11pm).

New Ace of Cakes (Food Network, 9pm and midnight).

    I came home from being out last night and was thinking Flash Forward was on… I was bummed to realize I was off a day! I guess that’s the mark of a good show, it has me looking forward to it that much :)
