Holiday Weekend

Updated by Laurel Krahn on May 22nd, 2009 Permalink

After doing a ton of work this week putting together the Fall Grid, I’m taking a break for the holiday weekend. Should be back with picks on Tuesday, May 26th if all goes as planned. Want to know when I return? Follow the feed, join the email list, watch the feed on Livejournal, and/or follow tvpicks on Twitter.

I do post other TV stuff occasionally to Twitter and imagine I will even when on a break.

Schedule Grids

The Fall 2009 Schedule Grid is now complete as it includes schedule data for ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, and NBC. It also includes links to Fall Previews from all the networks. And there are “info” links after each new show named on the page; you can click those to see the official pages for those shows– many of them include video previews and other neat stuff. I may add selected scripted cable series to the grid this summer if there are any that start up in the Fall. I’ll also add premiere dates as they’re announced, but those usually aren’t announced ’til mid or late summer. There are usually at least a couple of changes to the schedule before Fall rolls around, I’ll try to update the grid as any changes are announced. I’ll probably post a printable version of the grid late in the summer, for those of you who like to print the grid.

There’s also a new Summer 2009 Schedule Grid available. It’s a work in progress, I know there are already a few more things I need to add since I put it together earlier this week.

Other Places To Go For TV Info

TV Tattle is really the first place I go for links to stories about all things television.

Sue Trowbridge has you covered if you’d like to know who the guests will be on the late night talk shows (and some of the daytime shows).

I always enjoy reading what TV critics Alan Sepinwall, Maureen Ryan, and Tim Goodman have to say about TV. I usually avoid reading what other TV critics are saying, but I can’t help but check out their blogs and columns from time to time.

The Futon Critic collects most press releases from networks and cable stations in one place. Including listings data with episode descriptions.

The TV section at Zap2It has listings, among other things. So does TV Guide of course. As do many other sites or so I’m told (I know it’s a little weird, but I really don’t look at many other TV sites. I’m too busy watching stuff and wading through press releases myself).

Got a fave TV site you think I should check out? Let me know. I used to have this really amazing page of TV Links (if I do say so myself) and should really build something like that again.

Thank You

Thanks to all of you who have visited the site, linked to the site, written to me, sent gifts, made donations, and done other cool things over the last ten+ years. Here’s hoping the eleventh year will be the best yet.

I really do love to hear from readers of this site who want to talk TV. Comments should be about TV or this site and things that have been discussed on it; comments that have nothing to do with TV or this site won't usually be approved and may be deleted. Comments that contain profanity or which are abusive toward others will not be approved. I also usually won't approve comments that seem to be paid promotions.
