Primetime

Disturbing secrets come to light about Ducky’s past on a new NCIS (CBS, 7pm). I’m always pleased when David McCallum gets more to do as Dr. Mallard on this show so I’m looking forward to this episode.

Debbie doesn’t agree with her mother-in-law on parenting issues, Adrianna breaks her big news to Naomi and Navid, Ethan and Annie spend some time alone in Palm Springs, and Dixon and Silver head to the beach on a new 90210 (CW, 7pm; also tomorrow at 8pm).

Part one of the two-night four-hour season premiere of American Idol (FOX, 7pm – 9pm) features auditions, of course.

A high school boy is murdered and a local witch is a suspect because he killed her cat in this new episode of The Mentalist (CBS, 8pm).

Megan tries to get her sister Lily out of jail and this leads to all sorts of family drama (of course) in tonight’s new episode of Privileged (CW, 8pm). Rose helps Sage pick out a gift for Luis and unsurprisingly they don’t get the reaction they expect from him.

Two new episodes of Scrubs (ABC, 8pm, 8:30pm). In the first episode, everyone gets so fed up with the new Chief of Staff (played again by guest star Courteney Coxx) that Drs. Kelso and Cox actually work together to get rid of her. In the second episode, J.D. and Elliot bond a bit (and sparks may fly) when they work together to help Dr. Kelso find a new “happy place”.

“Abandoned Mine Plugger” is the job on a new Dirty Jobs (Discovery, 8pm and midnight).

The search for “Another Earth” on a new episode of The Universe (History Channel, 8pm and midnight).

New episode of Man Caves (DIY, 8pm and midnight).

The team poses as wedding planners to get close to a Mafia boss in a new episode of Leverage (TNT, 9pm and 11pm; also on Saturday at Noon).

The team searches for a missing bar owner who has a religious statue that some believe creates miracles in this new episode of Without a Trace (CBS, 9pm). Thomas Calabro (of Melrose Place) guest stars.

Olivia goes undercover as a madam in order to solve a crime, but the case is even more complicated than they originally thought (isn’t it always?) on a new Law & Order: SVU (NBC, 9pm).

Nip/Tuck (FX, 9pm, 11:11pm; also on Friday at 10pm). DVR/VCR Alert: This episode has a running time of 63 minutes.

Jon Voight is the guest on a new Shatner’s Raw Nerve (Biography Channel, 9pm and 1am).

New Wreckreation Nation with Dave Mordal (Discovery Channel, 9pm and 1am). You can find out more about this new show on the website about it.

New episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County (Bravo, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 1am).

Late Night

New 10 Items or Less (TBS, 10pm and 1am; also on Friday at 10:25pm).

Daniel Craig on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).

Niall Ferguson on The Colbert Report (Comedy Central, 10:30pm and 12:30am).

Salma Hayek, Jimmie Walker on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).

Mickey Rourke, Toni Collette, John Legend on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm).

Kristin Scott Thomas, Joshua Jackson on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS, 11:37pm).

Rosario Dawson, Donald Faison (of Scrubs), Susan Tedeschi on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:37pm).

Kiefer Sutherland, Malcolm Gladwell, David Cook on Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC, check your local listings).

Jaime King, Tom Freund featuring Ben Harper on Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC, check your local listings).

Thanks for expanding your coverage over the years to include pertinent cable network info! It’s great to see there’s a new Leverage on tonight – for some reason, my TiVo didn’t schedule it on it’s own, so I’m glad I double checked that… I do wish Eli Stone was on, I want to see the last episodes sometime soon.
