Primetime

ESPN airs NBA basketball including the Celtics at Cavaliers and Mavericks at Suns (ESPN, 9:30pm).

Rochelle requests a copy of her birth certificate and learns she’s a year younger than she thought she was in this new episode of Everybody Hates Chris (CW, 7pm). She decides to start living life with a “younger attitude”. Oh-oh. A stranger helps Chris during a city-wide blackout and Chris decides to repay the stranger. And Greg feels he has no identity of his own.

Batman and Wildcat face off against a group of teens in a new Batman: The Brave and the Bold (Cartoon Network, 7pm; also on Saturday at 9:30am and 6:30pm).

New episode of Dog Whisperer (National Geographic, 7pm and 10pm).

Melinda helps a family that’s “in turmoil after a freak accident” on a new Ghost Whisperer (CBS, 7pm). Sharon Lawrence (of NYPD Blue) and Kyle Secor (of Homicide: Life on the Street) guest star.

Josh Hamilton is profiled/interviews on Homecoming with Rick Reilly: Josh Hamilton (ESPN2, 7pm).

Howie Mandel stars in the series premiere of Howie Do It (NBC, 7pm). Six episodes of this new show have been made, so far. Howie Mandel and his team pulls “outrageous and sidesplitting gags on unsuspecting victims.” Um. Okay. The first episode features a singing telegram at a funeral, a dating show “gone horribly wrong” and an inept waiter. Sounds like the sort of show I despise and will avoid, but I feel obligated to mention new shows so you guys know about them so you can watch or avoid as you see fit.

The Atlantis team rushes to destroy an advanced ship before it can threaten Earth in the series finale of Stargate Atlantis (Sci-Fi, 8pm and 10pm).

It looks like tonight’s new episode will be the series finale for Lipstick Jungle (NBC, 8pm). If you like the show and wish it would stay around, you should pester NBC.

Winter premiere of Flashpoint (CBS, 8pm). This excellent series from Canada returns with more new episodes; it’s also been picked up for a second season (in Canada and on CBS). Cool! Enrico Colantoni, Hugh Dillon, and Amy Jo Johnson star in this series about a special/quick response police team.

Winter premiere of Monk (USA, 8pm and 11pm; also on Sunday at 8am and 10pm). We meet Monk’s half brother in this new episode. There’s a Monk marathon on Saturday on USA.

Anakin and Obi Wan are taken prisoner on Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Cartoon Network, 8pm; also on Saturday at 8:30am and Sunday at 8pm).

New episode of What Not To Wear (TLC, 8pm and 10pm). A 24-year-old nutritionist “is starving for style.”

Winter premiere of Psych (USA, 9pm and midnight; also on Sunday at 9am, 11am, and 10pm). Shawn and Gus investigate the death of Shabby the Sea Lion in this new episode which is titled “Six Feet Under The Sea”.

David Gallagher (of 7th Heaven) reprises the role of a criminal in this new episode of Numb3rs (CBS, 9pm). A convicted killer breaks out of prison and plots his revenge. Andre Royo, who played “Bubbles” on The Wire, also guest stars in this episode. As does Gary Basaraba (of Boomtown).

Season finale of Sanctuary (Sci-Fi, 9pm and 11pm). It will be back for another season.

Season finale of Crash (Starz, 9pm; with lots of additional airings on the various Starz stations).

A popular talk radio host is accused of poisoning his wife on Dateline NBC (NBC, 9pm). Or at least that’s the story they’re featuring.

Late Night

Kiefer Sutherland, Wendy Liebman on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).

Daniel Craig, Taraji P. Henson, Eagles of Death Metal on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (NBC, 10:35pm).

Curtis Jackson, Kaitlin Olson, Gym Class Heroes on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:37pm).

Paula Poundstone, other guests TBA on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS, 11:37pm).

Michael Imperioli, Jason Mesnick, Zac Brown Band on Jimmy Kimmel (ABC, check your local listings).

Kevin Nealon, Yelle on Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC, check your local listings).
