Primetime
The team is stuck working on a case over Christmas in this new episode of NCIS (CBS, 7pm). Yay! This should be fun. Peter Coyote and Kay Lenz guest star.
New Spice Up My Kitchen (HGTV, 7:30pm and 11:30pm).
The lead suspect in a case is Patrick Jane’s former psychiatrist in this new episdoe of The Mentalist (CBS, 8pm). Elisabeth Rohm, of Angel and Law & Order, is among the guest stars.
Steve Guttenberg guest stars on According to Jim (ABC, 8pm).
Eli is determined to find out if he’ll be alone for the rest of his life in this new episode of Eli Stone (ABC, 9pm).
A TV weatherman goes missing after showing up to work with a wound on a new Without a Trace (CBS, 9pm). It sounds like historical reinactment may be involved.
The team travels to Kentucky to help a horse trainer who has lost everything in this new episode of Leverage (TNT, 9pm and 11pm; also on Saturday at 11am). Mark Sheppard guest stars; he was “Badger” on Firefly and memorably guest starred in a number of episodes of Battlestar Galactica. I’ve seen this episode and I enjoyed it. Not great TV, but entertaining.
No Law & Order: SVU tonight, instead there’s the series premiere of Momma’s Boys (NBC, 9pm) on a special night and time. Three mothers want to help their sons meet the “perfect woman” in this new reality/game series. 32 eligible women share a big mansion with the mothers and sons. The show’s regular timeslot will be Mondays at 9pm.
Late Night
Hall & Oates, Philip Seymour Hoffman on a rerun of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).
