Ned and Chuck have a lot to deal with in tonight’s new episode of Pushing Daisies (ABC, 7pm); if you saw the episode that aired last week, you know what I’m talking about. Emerson and Olive investigate the death of a lighthouse keeper. Mary Kay Place and Alexander Gould (of Weeds) are among the guest stars.

Debut of new holiday animated special Little Spirit: Christmas in New York (NBC, 7pm). A friendly cabbie (voiced by Danny DeVito) tells two young sisters the story of a boy named Leo who moved to Manhattan with his family. The boy loses his dog and then is helped by a magical creature called Little Spirit.

Megan Mullally (of Will & Grace) guest stars on The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS, 7pm). Christine and Barb’s gym franchise may be in trouble.

Two new episodes of Time Warp (Discovery Channel, 7pm and 11pm, 7:30pm and 11:30pm).

When Allison plans to take the kids to their first concert, Gary tries to outdo her by helping the kids experience other “firsts” on a new Gary Unmarried (CBS, 7:30pm).

A serial killer is going after members of the police force in Phoenix, Arizona in this new episode of Criminal Minds (CBS, 8pm). It sounds like Morgan, as played by Shemar Moore, is in the spotlight in this episode as the case hits him hard.

A man who handles deliveries for a food bank is found dead in an unusual position in this new episode of Life (NBC, 8pm). And Det. Crews confronts someone else about the conspiracy that landed him in jail.

Charlotte’s rival practice opens in this new episode of Private Practice (ABC, 8pm). Guest stars include Brian Benben (of Dream On), Sarah Drew (of Everwood), Ione Skye, Jeffrey Pierce (of Charlie Jade, The Nine), Meredith Monroe (of Dawson’s Creek), Jay Harrington (of Desperate Housewives, The Inside), and David Sutcliffe (of Gilmore Girls).

New episode of Friday Night Lights (The 101, 8pm and 11pm; also airs on Friday at 8pm and 11pm). The 101 is a station that’s only available on DirecTV; these episodes of Friday Night Lights will air on NBC in 2009.

Lou Reed and Julian Schnabel are Elvis Costello’s guests in a new episode of Spectacle (Sundance Channel, 8pm; also on Thursday at 10pm and Sunday at 1pm).

Rebroadcast of this year’s Christmas episode of Monk (USA, 8pm; also on Saturday). Three homeless men ask for Monk’s help because they think their friend was murdered. And Captain Stottlemeyer experiences a miracle at a fountain . . . or does he?

Rebroadcast of the new TV movie The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice (TNT, 8pm; also on Saturday at 5pm and 9:30pm and on Sunday at Noon). Noah Wyle stars; with Bob Newhart, Jane Curtin, Bruce Davison, and Stana Katic.

New Inside the NFL (Showtime, 8pm).

Rerun of the “Holiday Special” episode of Mythbusters (Discovery Channel, 8pm and midnight).

The competitors arrange a bridal shower for judge Gail Simmons on a new Top Chef (Bravo, 9pm, 10:15pm, 12:30am, 1:45am). DVR/VCR Alert: This episode has a run time of 75 minutes.

Two new episodes of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS, 9pm, 9:30pm).
