There’s election night coverage on ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC which preempts their usual programming. Election night coverage also on PBS, BET, BBC America, and on all the cable news channels, of course. Coverage will run into late night programming, though networks will likely take breaks in their coverage for local newscasts.
National Geographic filmmakers reveal the stories behind some of the most amazing moments they caught on tape in National Geographic’s Most Amazing Moments (National Geographic, 7pm – 10pm, 10pm – 1am). This could be a good alternative to election coverage.
The theme tonight at Turner Classic Movies is “Decision Day” as they air Decision at Sundown (TCM, 7pm, letterboxed), Command Decision (TCM, 8:30pm), Decision Against Time (TCM, 10:30pm), and The Valley Of Decision (TCM, midnight). You can find out more about all these films on their website.

There’s a House marathon on USA today that runs all day and evening until 11pm.
TNT airs reruns of Law & Order (TNT, 5pm – 10pm).
The Travel channel airs a Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern (Travel, 1pm – 2am) marathon.
Megan discovers a secret about Laurel while researching her background for a potential biography on Privileged (CW, 8pm). And there’s tension between the twins over a modeling gig. Kathy Najimy guest stars.

Late Night
Late night talk shows are all pre-empted or will air very delayed reruns, though Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are doing a live show Indecision ‘08: America’s Choice (Comedy Central, 9pm, 10pm, midnight).
Election Night coverage will continue well into the night.
BET has a bunch of Barack Obama speeches scheduled to air starting at 10pm (though I imagine it’s possible the start might be delayed due to election coverage depending on how the night goes): Running for Prez: Obama’s Announcement Speech (BET, 10pm), Obama Speech: Yes We Can (BET, 10:30pm), A More Perfect Union: Obama’s Speech About Race (BET, 11pm), and I Accept: Obama’s Nomination Speech (BET, midnight).
