Rerun of part one of the season finale of Lost (ABC, 7pm)
Season finale of Lost (ABC, 8pm – 10pm)
News & Notes
I’m webmaster for a nifty convention coming up this June in Minneapolis; if you’re interested in writing, art, fantasy, and/or fairy tales I recommend you check out Fourth Street Fantasy Convention. The deadline for pre-registration is May 31st and our room block at the hotel is filling up fast. Writer Elizabeth Bear is our Guest of Honor; some of the other writers who plan to attend the convention (likely to be on programming) include: Eleanor Arnason, Steven Brust, Emma Bull, Pamela Dean, Ellen Klages, Marissa Lingen, Michael Merriam, Sarah Monette, Will Shetterly, with more sure to be added. Fans of Shadow Unit may have noticed that most of the folks involved with that fine show will be at the convention.
Daytime
“Lisa Ling Investigates the Hidden World of Puppy Mills” on a rerun of Oprah (syndicated, check our local listings).

For some of us, tonight is all about Lost. At 7pm, ABC rebroadcasts part one of the season finale which aired two weeks ago (ABC, 7pm); they say that this version of the episode will have some new footage (not broadcast last week). I’m unclear on whether this airing of the episode will have text commentary on it, but it may. DVR Alert: Some DVRs may treat this episode as a new one, they should also treat the two-hour finale (which airs at 8pm) as a new episode.
The auditions continue on a new So You Think You Can Dance (FOX, 7pm – 9pm).
Sheldon and Leonard are invited to present at a physics conference in this rerun of The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 7pm). In the end, the events that transpire are embarrassing enough they end up posted on YouTube. The cool thing is, when the episode originally aired, someone on YouTube named Wolowizard actually posted the “Physicists Gone Wild” video but it looks like it’s not up there any more which makes me sad. Maybe it will reappear tonight? That would rock.
Leonard: “Sheldon, why is this letter in the trash?”
Sheldon: “Well, there’s always the possibility that a trash can spontaneously formed around the letter, but Occam’s Razor would suggest that someone threw it out.”
from The Big Bang Theory
Bill Bellamy hosts a new episode of Last Comic Standing (NBC, 7:30pm – 9:30pm). Another audition episode. In this one, Angela Kinsey and Oscar Nunez (of The Office) scout for talent in Los Angeles, while Neil Flynn (of Scrubs) and Alfonso Ribeiro (of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Silver Spoons) audition comics in Houston.
Tonight’s rerun of How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 7:30pm) is the second episode of season two (this past season was the third one). Barney works with Marshall on his bachelor skills, which include hitting on women. And Lily returns to New York City.
Two hour season finale of Lost (ABC, 8pm – 10pm). This immediately follows the rebroadcast of part one of the finale (from two weeks ago). The whole three-hour finale is titled “There’s No Place Like Home” and should cover how the Oceanic Six manage to leave the island and get rescued as well as what happens to the others (and maybe The Others too). I could tell you who is listed as guest starring in the episode, but I don’t want to spoil a thing for anyone. We get two more seasons of Lost after this one, just in case you’re wondering.
NBA: Spurs at Lakers (TNT, 8pm).
New episode of Reno 911 (Comedy Central, 9:30pm and 11:30pm).

David Sirota on The Colbert Report (Comedy Central, 10:30pm and 12:30am).

Jack Black, Clay Aiken on a rerun of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (NBC, 10:35pm).
Will Ferrell, Rashida Jones, Fred Simmons on a rerun of Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:37pm).
Kal Penn, Lake Bell on a rerun of the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS, 11:37pm).
Ryan Seacrest, Clay Aiken on a rerun of Jimmy Kimmel (ABC, check your local listings).
