More train movies on Turner Classic Movies: Murder On The Orient Express (TCM, 7pm, letterboxed), The Lady Vanishes (TCM, 9:15pm), Sherlock Holmes in Terror by Night (TCM, 11pm), Murder In The Private Car (TCM, 12:15am), and The Lone Wolf Takes a Chance (TCM, 1:30am). Well, all movies have memorable train scenes in them or involve trains somehow. You can read more about them on the TCM website.
Basketball: Hawks at Celtics (TNT, 7pm), Nuggets at Lakers (TNT, 9:30pm).
Baseball: Yankees at White Sox (ESPN, 7pm).
Edward Norton hosts National Geographic’s Strange Days on Planet Earth (PBS, check your local listings).
Two episodes of MI-5 (BBC America, 7pm and 10pm and midnight, 8pm and 11pm and 1am).
Joy convinces Eddie to get a vasectomy (or does she?) on a new ‘Til Death (FOX, 7pm). J.B. Smoove and Ken Jeong guest star.
The models travel to Rome on a new America’s Next Top Model (CW, 7pm). And they film a commercial . . . in Italian.
A man from New York and a woman from Minnesota compete in a special two-hour Deal or No Deal (7pm – 9pm). The Minnesotan is Jenna Steinhoff from West St. Paul, Minnesota; the man is Tony Canastrano from Buffalo, New York.
Chuck (Kelsey Grammer) and Kelly (Patricia Heaton) see a therapist (played by guest star Diahann Carroll) on a new Back To You (FOX, 7:30pm). And Gary is frustrated because a friendly security guard who hugs everyone doesn’t hug him. Or something.
HGTV airs new episodes of Get It Sold (HGTV, 7:30pm and 11:30pm) and Design on a Dime (HGTV, 8:30pm and 12:30am).
Inside A Cult (National Geographic, 8pm and 11pm) looks at the group led by Michael Travesser which thought that the world would end on Oct. 31, 2007.
Rerun of the “3rd Life” episode of Criminal Minds (CBS, 8pm). One teen is found murdered and the other is abducted. Gina Mantegna (daughter of series star Joe Mantegna) is among the guest stars. The next new episode airs next week.
Pat Mannan: “You know, you have no idea who or what you’re dealing with here.”
Hotchner: “Then enlighten me or stay out of my way.”
from Criminal Minds
New episode of Mythbusters (Discovery, 8pm and midnight). It’s their “Alaska Special” whatever that means. Okay, it seems to mean that they test some Alaskan anecdotes and sayings.
Two episodes of John Ratzenberger’s Made in America (Travel Channel, 8pm and midnight, 8:30pm and 12:30am). First one covers the Old State Capitol Building and Elgin Street Sweepers; second one covers the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame and Wright Medical Orthopedic Implants.
Tonight’s new episode of Law & Order (NBC, 9pm) is the last one for series regular Jesse L. Martin and the first for new series regular Anthony Anderson. I’ve seen this episode and it’s quite good, even if I got a bit misty-eyed for it. I’ll miss Jesse L. Martin and his character (Det. Ed. Green), even if we never really got to know him all that well; we learn more about Green in this episode than in all the ones prior to it.
In tonight’s new episode of Men in Trees (ABC, 9pm), there’s a non-shocking development when Marin wants Cash to stay with her (and Jack) after he gets out of the hospital. Gosh, you didn’t see that coming, did you? Or the fact that Jack may have a problem with this? Meanwhile, Patrick begins his trip around the world and conveniently enough he ends up in New York City working for Jane. That should be fun. Mai moves in with Celia, which should be pretty darn funny. And Buzz takes a job at the Inn, which also may very well be funny. I like this fluffy light show, I really do.
The chefs must make a dessert for chef Johnny Iuzzini, they also get a lesson in improv from Second City on a new Top Chef (Bravo, 9pm, 10pm, midnight, 1am).
Spring finale of South Park (Comedy Central, 9pm and 11pm). The kids go on an educational field trip, but Cartman encourages Butters to skip the trip and try something more fun.
Robert creates a gourmet meal using Michelob Craft beers for 100 brewers at Anheuser-Busch on a new Dinner: Impossible (Food Network, 9pm and midnight).
New episode of The Big 4-0 (TV Land, 9pm, 10pm, midnight).
Rerun of “The Thing About Heroes” episode of CSI: NY (CBS, 9pm). Mac tries to find more clues about his stalker in Chicago, they’re also trying to find the stalker in NYC. Mykelti Williamson (of Boomtown) and Frank Grillo (of Prison Break) guest star. The next new episode airs next week.
Flack: “He holds Mac responsible for losing someone in his family.”
Lindsay: “So what? Now he wants Mac to lose someone in his family?”
Stella: “Yeah. One of us.”
from CSI: NY
Two more new episodes of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS, 9pm, 9:30pm).
A new episode features a “sparking topaz” on Cash and Treasures (Travel Channel, 9pm and 1am, 9:30pm and 1:30am). Followed by a rerun that covers Alaskan gold.
