The winners of the Golden Globe Awards were announced last night, you can read the official press releases on the Golden Globes and Hollywood Foreign Press Association website. The less said about the NBC special featuring the announcements, the better.
Talks have resumed. In honor of that, I once again post some strike-related links:

You can read all about Lewton, this special, and the marathon that accompanies it on the official website. Here’s a list of the Lewton films in the marathon:

Kyle returns home to tell his family the truth about Madacorp in a new episode of Kyle XY (ABC Family; 7pm, 8pm, and 11pm). This is the first new episode since early September.
Winter premiere of Prison Break (FOX, 7pm). Michael is in what passes for solitary confinement at this rather unique prison. T-Bag tries to get in on the escape plan (of course). And Bellick’s got to fight. Or something. Robert Wisdom (“Bunny Colvin” of The Wire) continues to rule the prison. This is episode nine of season three, thirteen episodes were filmed before the strike began.
Alton Brown takes a look at the origin of pouch cooking on Good Eats (Food Network, 7pm and 2am).
Rerun of the first episode of How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 7pm) for this strike-shortened season. Robin returns from vacation with Enrique Iglesias and Ted hooks up with Mandy Moore. Crazy! Or, um, something like that.
Older Ted (who sounds a lot like Bob Saget): “Kids, there’s more than one story of how I met your mother. You know the short version, the thing with your mom’s yellow umbrella. But there’s a bigger story; the story of how I became who I had to become before I could meet her. And that story begins here.”
from How I Met Your Mother
Chris joins the staff for the school newspaper in this rerun of Everybody Hates Chris (CW, 7pm). When things don’t go well, he kinda makes up an outrageous story which ends up having quite the impact.
Raja is selected to be on a Homecoming float committee and Justin isn’t on this rerun of Aliens in America (CW, 7:30pm).
Wolowitz is holed up with a girl and that throws the guys off (’cause they’re down a man) in this rerun of The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 7:30pm). Penny ends up joining them for Halo.
Sheldon: “I’ll watch the last 24 minutes of Doctor Who, although at this point it’s more like Doctor Why Bother.”
from The Big Bang Theory
The Connors have been transported to 2007 in an effort to stop SkyNet and evade the folks looking for them in the past as the second episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX, 8pm) begins. If you missed the series premiere last night, you can still jump in tonight. In this episode, Sarah Connor reaches out to a friend from her past for help. Cameron also has some ideas on where to get some help. And John, well . . . he does some very very stupid things which made me rather cranky, to be honest. Yes, I’ve seen this episode. I don’t like it as well as the first episode, but I’m still sweet on this series anyway. Summer Glau (who was “River” on Firefly) rocks pretty hard here and I like the rest of the cast as well. Yes, we get more Dean Winters in this episode too (in case you feared we’d just see him in the first episode).
HBO2 airs the first two episodes of season five of The Wire (HBO2, 8pm, 9pm) in case you missed them or want to revisit them.
Nikki Blonsky (of Hairspray ) stars in the new movie Queen Sized (Lifetime, 8pm – 10pm). An overweight teenager becomes a local celebrity when she stands up to pranksters at her high school. With Annie Potts, Lilly Holleman, Jackson Pace, and Fabian Moreno.
Tonight’s new episode of Medium (NBC, 9pm) is another good one (I’ve seen it). Ariel has dreams that she’s her Mom’s best friend when she was in high school during the ’80s. Allison has some disturbing dreams of her own that involve Ariel. All this goes on as Allison works with investigator Cynthia Keener (Anjelica Huston) to try and find a missing teenager. Lots of good family stuff here, as is so often the case with this show. Sofia Vassilieva, who plays Ariel, is really really good.
Anthony Bourdain is in Berlin for a new episode of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (Travel Channel, 9pm, 10pm, 1am).
Kathy Reichs is featured on a new Murder By The Book (Court TV, 9pm and 1am); she’s the author of the Temperance Brennan books; the series Bones is loosely based on them. A 5 year investigation leads a reporter to the truth behind the disappearance of Madalyn Murray O’Hair and her family.
Scotty Moore travels to Egypt to investigate an unmarked coffin hidden inside the crypt of a powerful physician on a new episode of Bone Detectives (Discovery, 9pm and 1am).
New episode of Mystery Diagnosis (Discovery Health Channel, 9pm and midnight).
New episode of True Life (MTV, 9pm and 11pm) titled “I’m Getting Out of Prison”.
Elizabeth Berkley guest stars as the mother of Horatio’s son on the season finale of CSI: Miami (CBS, 9pm).
Nick thinks Aubrey is hiding something from him and the town roots for someone at a spelling bee on a new October Road (ABC, 9:01pm). Are any of you watching this show? What do you think? I must admit, I tuned out rather early on.
Late Night
Katie Holmes, Frank Caliendo, Maroon 5 The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).
Ben Kingsley, Laura Prepon, Lupe Fiasco on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS, 11:37pm).
Yes, the other late night talk shows have new episodes, but they’re doing them without writers. And they aren’t usually announcing the guests in advance (or very much in advance). I think Jimmy Kimmel may be a rerun, but the others should be new.
