News & Notes
FX has picked up Damages for two more seasons. That’s very cool, but a bit surprising. I love the show, but wasn’t sure it was the sort of show that should have multiple seasons (one season packs a punch, the longer it goes on, perhaps not so much); it also didn’t fare too well in the ratings. But hooray for quality TV!

High school classmates reunited to open a time capsule, only to find that there’s a body buried there on Bones (FOX, 7pm). Eek! I bet we also get to hear about what high school was like for the squints (and Booth). Fun! John Francis Daley (of Freaks and Geeks) guest stars; you may recall he’s actually going to be a series regular.
An admiral is killed on NCIS (CBS, 7pm) and the team investigates. Things take an unexpected turn, of course.
The geeks tend bar, the beauties deal with some creepy crawly creatures on Beauty and the Geek (CW, 7pm).
Rebroadcasts of the latest episodes of Brotherhood (Showtime, 7pm), Dexter (Showtime, 8pm), and Weeds (Showtime, 9pm, 9:30pm).
The Carpoolers (ABC, 7:30pm) accidently torch another carpooler group’s car. Um. That’s a rather large mistake. Perhaps we’ll see more of Scott Thompson (of Kids in the Hall) in this episode.
A documentary crew films House and his team on House (FOX, 8pm). Do I really need to say any more to sell this episode?
What happens when a member of The Unit (CBS, 8pm) is killed in action? Well given the nature of the team, the public and even the friends and family of the team member will never know what really happened to them. I guess Shawn Ryan, David Mamet, and company always wanted to tell a story of what happens when a team member falls and they knew it wouldn’t have the weight it should if we didn’t really know the character and the team. I watched the episode that aired last week and the one that airs tonight back to back and was a little bit of a wreck afterwards, which made me realize how real these characters are to me and how much I like this show. This episode is even better than the last one and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Though I’m sad, of course, over the loss of a character I really liked.
Sock becomes obsessed with the demon at the DMV on Reaper (CW, 8pm).
Arye Gross guest stars as a violent and very bad man on Law & Order: SVU (NBC, 9pm). Sounds like an extra-angsty episode, with some major stuff happening to main characters (not just the criminals and victims).
Alan Shore defends Denny Crane in court for firing a woman for being fat on Boston Legal (ABC, 9pm). And another case involves using an MRI machine to try and prove someone is racist. I kinda love this insane show, I really do. Guest stars include Henry Gibson, Mark Derwin, William Russ, and Gail O’Grady.
