News & Notes:
Pushing Daisies, Private Practice, and Dirty Sexy Money aren’t on tonight to make room for the CMA Awards on ABC. They should be back next week.
The Show Tracker weblog on the L.A. Times website is an excellent place to read about the latest news on the WGA strike. The L.A. Times has also posted an excellent grid that details the status of current shows in regards to the strike.
Mark Evanier’s weblog News From ME is a must-read for pop culture fans, he’s also posting good stuff about the WGA strike.
As always, TV Tattle does a great job of rounding up links to news about television.
You can still win season one of Dexter on DVD. Contest ends Friday, go on and enter it if you haven’t yet and are interested in this fine DVD set.

Alton Brown makes green bean casserole on Good Eats (Food Network, 7pm and 2am) in this new episode titled “Bean Stalker”. It’s followed by a rerun of his stuffing episode (Food Network, 7:30pm and 2:30am). Yup, it’s not too early to start planning for Thanksgiving.
The pioneers hold a talent show on Kid Nation (CBS, 7pm).
When Gracie is bullied, her parents have two very different ideas on how to deal with it on Back To You (FOX, 7pm). Charisma Carpenter guest stars (she was “Cordelia” on Buffy the Vampire Slayer).
The models get to make a music video with Enrique Iglesias on America’s Next Top Model (CW, 7pm; also on Sun at 8pm). Tyra also gives them tips on how to deal with a moving camera.
41st Annual CMA Awards (ABC, 7pm). The Eagles are among the bands scheduled to appear. I just want to know why the country music awards show has a logo that looks like the Star Trek logo. If you’re into this show, you might also want to check out CMA Awards 2007 Red Carpet Show (CMT, 6pm).
NBA action on ESPN. Heat at Spurs, Cavaliers at Jazz.
When a serial killing duo is almost apprehended, one of them winds up dead on Criminal Minds (CBS, 8pm). Now the BAU needs to update their profile to catch the remaining killer and possibly save his latest victim. Sounds like the killers have a history with the new guy on the team (played by Joe Mantegna).
The team conducts experiments involving an exploding hot water heater and blue jeans on a new episode of Mythbusters (Discovery, 8pm and midnight).
The Berkut Group teams up with the CIA for a mission on Bionic Woman (NBC, 8pm and Sat at 7pm; also on Fri at 6pm on Sci-Fi Channel). This mission reunites Jaime with CIA agent Tom (played by Jordan Bridges of Conviction). While Jaime’s away, her little sister winds up in jail; fortunately for her, Miguel Ferrer bails her out.
Things “heat up” between Dan and Serena, Nate confronts his father about drug use, Chuck tries to impress his father, Jenny learns a secret, and Blair isn’t happy when she finds out her boyfriend kissed someone else at the masked ball on Gossip Girl (CW, 8pm; also on Sun). Yes, it’s a soapy sort of show, but I kinda like it anyway (I still miss The OC though). The rebroadcast airs at 5pm on Sunday here in Minneapolis, but you might want to check your local listings to be sure if you’re catching the Sunday showing.
Looks like there’s a new edition of All Star Thanksgiving Recipes (Food Network, 8pm and 11pm).
Two Iranian Americans are killed and a third is kidnapped on Life (NBC, 9pm). And Crews thinks about investing in solar energy. I’m enjoying this show, if you usually watch Dirty Sexy Money, you might want to give this one a try (completely different show, but still usually entertaining).
The two victims on CSI: NY (CBS, 9pm) may have something in common.
New episodes of South Park (Comedy Central, 9pm and 11pm) and The Sarah Silverman Program (Comedy Central, 9:30pm and 11:30pm).
Late Night
Late Night Lineups from Sue Trowbridge.
