News & Notes:
I get a lot of emails asking me when shows premiere this Fall; premiere dates are all listed on the Fall 2007 Grid so you should check that out. If you don’t see your fave show on the Fall Grid, scroll on down and have a look at the list of midseason shows– those are shows that will be back, just not ’til January or so (Lost, Medium, and Law & Order are three shows that fall into that category). Though it’s always possible a show will return early if a new show tanks.
Thanks to everyone who has made donations this month, we’ve already surpassed the amount I made July and August combined! ‘Course it still isn’t enough to cover my bills for the site, but it’s a start and is very much appreciated.
If you’re new to my TV picks, I write them for the Central timezone, but you can adjust the timezone to Eastern on the website via a sidebar widget. The picks use Central Timezone times in the feed and email versions, just add an hour to the times for Eastern or come on over to the website.

Baseball: Atlanta Braves at New York Mets (ESPN, 6pm).

Series premiere of Decision House (My Network TV, 7pm). I guess you could call it a spin-off of Dr. Phil as Dr. Phil is an exec producer and his son Jay runs the show. Couples who are in crisis live in the house for four to five days with access to lawyers, counselors, and crisis experts who are presumably there to help them. The couples decide whether to work things out or to split up. Here’s a link to the official site for the show.
Rerun of the episode of Feasting on Asphalt (Food Network, 7pm and 2am) where Alton Brown and company encounter Lutefisk. If you don’t know from lutefisk, you wouldn’t believe me if I told you what it is.

Nothing but new episodes on Court TV tonight including episodes of Most Daring (7pm and 11pm), Forensic Files (8pm and midnight), LA Forensics (8:30pm and 12:30am), Haunting Evidence (9pm and 1am), and Psychic Detectives (9:30pm and 1:30am).

Prentiss: (to Hotch and Reid) How’d you guys do?

A decomposed skeleton of a young woman is found in a shopping cart, but the plot thickens when they try to estimate the age of the individual on a rerun of the second season finale of Bones (FOX, 8pm). There also may or may not be a wedding. And Brennan’s Dad shows up yet again. Roxanne Hart (of Chicago Hope) and Ryan O’Neal guest star.
Hodgins: Right, Zack and I did a brief experiment involving sea chimps.
Booth: Sea chimps? I love sea chimps.
Bones: To confirm that they would feed on decomposing human tissue?
[Hodgins nods]
Booth: Great. Thanks for ruining the whole sea chimp thing for me.

New episode of Top Chef (Bravo, 9pm, 11pm, midnight, 1am). It involves “Snacks on a Plane”.
Bob Costas and Cris Collinsworth are back for another season of Inside the NFL (HBO, 9pm). With Cris Carter, Dan Marino, and Peter King. It’s gotta be the only show with two guys named “Cris” who spell it that way.
The team tries to clear the name of a tennis legend and save Mac’s career on a rerun of CSI: NY (CBS, 9pm). This episode is chock full o’ interesting guest stars: Mykelti Williamson (of Kidnapped, Boomtown), Joey “Whoa” Lawrence, John McEnroe, and Claire Forlani.
Hawkes: The gravitational blood drops that Danny found in the bathroom match reference samples you collected from McEnroe. It’s his blood.
Lindsay: Wait, he was in the bar and at home?
Stella: So the question is: how was John McEnroe in two places at one time?
