Primetime:
It just isn’t Christmas for me without Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (CBS, 7pm) and Frosty the Snowman (CBS, 8pm). I know I’m not alone in that.
An ordinary man becomes obsessed with Rose and the Doctor on Doctor Who (Sci-Fi, 7pm and 11pm). I think I know that guy!
The lawyers defend the ex of one of their own on Justice (FOX, 7pm). Jane Seymour guest stars.
The fleet faces starvation on Battlestar Galactica (Sci-Fi, 8pm and 10pm). Jeez, what next? Jane Espenson (of Buffy et al) wrote this episode.
Primetime (ABC, 8pm) visits North Korea.
A blacklisted mobster (Vincent Pastore) purchases the Montecito’s million-dollar wedding package, including Wayne Newton, for his daughter, but problems arise because Wayne is on bad terms with Ed on Las Vegas (NBC, 8pm).
An attorney involved in a high-profile wire tapping case is found dead on Law & Order (NBC, 9pm). Speaking of wiretaps, HBO rebroadcasts recent episodes of The Wire tonight. The Wire is the best show on TV.
Jason Priestley and Elliott Gould star in “The Screwfly Solution” episode of The Masters of Horror (Showtime, 9pm). This installment was directed by Joe Dante and written by Raccoona Sheldon (a.k.a. Alice Sheldon a.k.a. James Tiptree, Jr). A virus infects men and makes them attack women. Yikes! The story this episode is based on is available online, in case you’re curious (but I wouldn’t read it ’til after you watch the episode if you don’t want spoilers). Science fiction fan Avedon Carol interviewed screenwriter Sam Hamm about this episode.
E-mail con artists prey on millions of Americans and make billions of dollars in the process, photographer Larry Birkhead is fighting for custody of Anna Nicole Smith’s baby girl, cooking meals for the less fortunate can be illegal on 20/20 (ABC, 9pm).
