I’m totally hooked on Jericho (CBS, 7pm). Are you? In tonight’s new episode, they pick up some sort of signal on the satellite TV. And Skeet decides it might be a good idea to send a few people off in all directions to see what they can find out about what happened.
There’s an explosion in a Miami hotel and a young girl is killed on a new episode of Bones (FOX, 7pm). Some new episodes of Bones will air during October despite the FOX coverage of the baseball postseason.
Baseball: Detroit Tigers at New York Yankees (ESPN, 7pm). Game 2 of one of an American League Division Series.
New America’s Next Top Model (CW, 7pm; also Sunday at 8pm) titled ” The Girls Who Go to Texas”. The models walk a catwalk that is suspended over water and there are other challenges too. These new episodes are rebroadcast on Sundays at 8pm.
Rerun of the series premiere of Friday Night Lights (NBC, 7pm). In case you missed it last night. Really worth checking out. It also airs again tomorrow night at 10pm on USA and on Saturday at 8pm on NBC.
At long last, it’s the season premiere of Lost (ABC, 8pm). The episode is titled “A Tale of Two Cities” and the guide description says “Jack, Kate and Sawyer discover what they are up against as prisoners.” I haven’t seen this and (like many of you) am looking forward to seeing how this season starts. DVR/VCR Alert: Runs 61 minutes.
The team investigates a series of murders that they think may have been committed by two people working in tandem on Criminal Minds (CBS, 8pm).
Rerun of the “Who’s Your Daddy” episode of House (FOX, 8pm) from near the end of last season. A 16-year-old Hurricane Katrina victim suffering from hallucinations is brought in by an old friend (played by D.B. Sweeney). House fears his friend is being conned. The next new episode of House airs on October 31st.
Wilson: “I find it very comforting, you defending a man you haven’t seen in years– to know my friend, no matter what, will always be my champion, my protector.”
House: “I’m not protecting him, I’m smacking her.”
Wilson: “The modesty of a true hero!”
House: “Push me and I’ll let her die, just so you’ll stop annoying me.”

Series premiere of The Nine (ABC, 9:01pm). I think this is my favorite new show of the fall– don’t miss this one. Check out my fall preview to see what I think of the first episode and learn everything else you could possibly want to know about the show.
The Crain family hosts a charity ball and tries to act like everything is fine on Kidnapped (NBC, 9pm). Yeah, I’m sure that will go well. I’m still liking this show a lot, it’s one of my new faves. Bummer that it’s on opposite The Nine (which is probably my favorite of the new season, though much depends on how future episodes go).
Season premiere of South Park (Comedy Central, 9pm and 11pm, multiple airings this week). There’s a renegade player online in World of Warcraft and the boys “must stop him” before he ruins everything.
A runner dies during a marathom and the team struggles to collect evidence amid a rather large crowd of people on CSI: NY (CBS, 9pm).
The Season 3 Reunion episode of Project Runway (Bravo, 9pm, 11pm, midnight, with a zillion more airings this week).
Another airing of the series premiere of Dexter (Showtime, 9pm). I haven’t checked it out yet as I’m not sure I have the stomach for a show about a serial killer who is also a forensics guy.
Series premiere of Freak Show (Comedy Central, 9:30pm and 11:30pm, with multiple airings this week). New animated series from David Cross (of Arrested Development) and H. Jon Benjamin (of Dr. Katz). The “Freak Squad” is a unique band of heroes: they’re secretly employed by the U.S. government, but they also work in an actual freak show.
Late Night
Some good guest lineups tonight, check ‘em out on Sue’s page.
