Primetime:

Baseball : Oakland A’s at Atlanta Braves (TBS, 6:30pm).

Part 1 (of 6) of Into The West (TNT, 7pm – 9pm, 9pm – 11pm; airs again on both Saturday and Sunday). This new six part “limited series” (a.k.a. miniseries) is executive produced by Steven Spielberg and is all about the opening of the American West. Each two-hour segment has a different director and writer and a slightly different cast (I’m assuming there’ll be overlap). I really liked the first part of this, though it is more slow-paced than what one is used to. It looks great, the cast is solid, the story is interesting. Skeet Ulrich stars in this segment, with Josh Brolin, Will Patton, Simon R. Baker, Alan Tudyk (of Firefly), and Gary Busey. That’s just the beginning, because future episodes will include performances from a whole bucnh of familiar folk (including Lance Henricksen, Christian Kane (of Angel), Jessica Capshaw, Keith Carradine, Rachel Leigh Cook, Keri Russell (of Felicity), Judge Reinhold, Matthew Modine, Craig Sheffer, Sean Astin, Tom Berenger, Beau Bridges, and lots more). Check it out.

Carole Lombard, Robert Montgomery in Mr. and Mrs. Smith (TCM, 7pm).

Angelina Jolie, Keith Urban, e-mail scams, men charged with murder on Dateline NBC (NBC, 7pm – 9pm).

The Complete Savages (ABC, 7:30pm) skip a birthday party to watch the Super Bowl. New episode.

Peter Coyote, Treach, and Candice Bergen are among the guest stars on a rerun of Law & Order: Trial By Jury (NBC, 9pm). A career criminal is charged with killing police officers, but he tries to be a sympathetic figure (and claim self defense) as he was shot 41 times.

Rerun of the very first episode of Numb3rs (CBS, 9pm). Rob Morrow stars as an FBI agent, David Krumholtz plays his mathematician brother: together, they fight crime! Or, um, something. With Sabrina Lloyd, Judd Hirsch, Peter MacNicol, Alimi Ballard, and Navi Rawat, Anthony Heald is in this first episode.

Alanis Morissette, the King Tutankhamun museum exhibit on 20/20 (ABC, 9pm).

Fur on the Asphalt: The Greg the Bunny Reunion Special (IFC, 9:30pm and 12:30am).

Baseball: Minnesota Twins at Los Angeles Dodgers (Fox Sports Net North, 9:30pm). The Twins face the Dodgers for the first time since the 1965 World Series. Twins great Mudcat Grant is supposed to be one of the special guests in the booth during this series.

Late Night:

Rerun of the most recent episode of The Shield (FX, 10pm).

Al Franken, Ellen Pompeo (of Grey’s Anatomy) on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).

Paul Giamatti, bug man Ruud Kleinpaste on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm).

Christina Applegate, Regina Hall, Black Eyed Peas on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:35pm).

Rerun of last season’s finale of The Dead Zone (USA, midnight).
