Thanks to Rosemarie for making a donation in support of this site!

If you’re wondering when we’ll know what the network schedules will be for next year (and which shows make them and which shows don’t), those schedules will be announced at the upfronts from May 16th thought May 19th. I’ll be putting together schedule grids for the 2005-2006 TV season as the announcements are made, as I have for the past four years or so (well before other TV websites started doing that sort of coverage).

Primetime:

When Sookie is forced to get a lot of bed rest, Luke is asked to fill in at the Dragonfly Inn for her on Gilmore Girls (WB, 7pm). And Rory meets Logan’s family. If you were confused last week when both Rory and Paris seemed on the outs with their boyfriends– you aren’t the only one. Lots of people feared they’d missed an episode somewhere, but that really doesn’t seem to be the case. I was underwhelmed by that episode, but tonight’s new episode is written by series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino so I’ve got a good feeling about it.

A Marine in an ROTC program is found murdered on a college campus on NCIS (CBS, 7pm).

NBA playoffs on TNT.

Sixteen athletes compete in a bowling tournamanet on ESPN’s Bowling Night (ESPN, 7pm).

Ruben Studdard (of American Idol) guest stars on All Of Us (UPN, 7pm).

Sharif Atkins (of ER) guest stars on Eve (UPN, 7:30pm).

Veronica Mars (UPN, 8pm) helps a classmate whose boyfriend has threatened to humiliate her by posting a video online if she dumps him. Yikes. Meanwhile, Veronica’s Dad tries to find Duncan Kane. And Veronica and Logan spend some more, um, quality time together. Surely more secrets are revealed. I’m so in love with this show, I’m both eager for new episodes and I’m dreading the end of this season (and the resolution of the Lilly Kane mystery). Thank goodness we at least know the series will be back next year. Weevil fans take note: Francis Capra guest stars tonight on both Blind Justice (ABC, 9pm) and Judging Amy (CBS, 9pm).

Turk saves a life at a taco stand, Elliott dates a new guy (played by Josh Randall of Ed), Dr. Kelso has a new scooter on Scrubs (NBC, 8pm).

“We Got A Gnome! We Got A Gnome!” is the name of tonight’s episode of The Amazing Race 7 (CBS, 8pm). I’m sure that quote is from some sort of silly competition and not just a spontaneous exclamation. At least I hope so.

A rerun of the episode of House (FOX, 8pm) with guest star Stacy Edwards as a woman they think is schizophrenic whose son helps with her care. This episode is titled “The Socratic Method.”

Viewers get to vote on how tonight’s episode of One Tree Hill (WB, 8pm) ends. Lindsay McKeon (of Guiding Light) guest stars again.

NFL players compete on Battle of the Gridiron Stars (ESPN, 8pm).

On the season finale of Rodney (ABC, 8:30pm), Rodney gets an opportunity to pursue his stand-up comedy dream, but it would mean two months on the road and away from his family.

A “hot girl” causes quite a commotion on the season finale of The Office (NBC, 8:30pm).

Francis Capra (who plays “Weevil” on Veronica Mars) is among the guest stars on Blind Justice (ABC, 9pm); oddly enough, he’s also among the guest stars on tonight’s episode of Judging Amy (CBS, 9pm).

They get close to a bust on the garage sting, only to be pulled off the case in light of a scandal of some sort on The Shield (FX, 9pm, 10:03pm, midnight, 1:03am). Note that the episode runs about three minutes long. And Julien may yet end up transferring out of the unit. Anthony Anderson continues his guest stint on the show.

Only three remain on Nashville Star (USA, 9pm and midnight).

A look at “the censoring of DVD movies without the consent of the studios or the filmmakers” on Bleep! Censoring Hollywood? (AMC, 9pm and 12:30am).

When a nine-year-old girl is examined after her family is in a car accident, she’s found to have been sexually assaulted on a rerun of Law & Order: SVU (NBC, 9pm; airs again on USA).

Late Night:

Ice Cube on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).

Azaria Alert! Hank Azaria, Jeff MacGregor on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).

First Lady Laura Bush, Bill Engvall, the Eels on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm).

Shaggy and Scooby get busted on Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law (Cartoon Network, 11pm and 2am). Gary Cole, Stephen Colbert, and John Michael Higgins star.

NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Natascha McElhone, Ben Folds on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:37pm).

Farrah Fawcett, Frank Caliendo on Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC, check your local listings).

Thandie Newton, Gavin Rossdale, flying instructor Barb MacLeod on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (CBS, check your local listings).

Ice Cube, Amy Carlson (of Law & Order: Trial By Jury), Bowling for Soup on Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC, check your local listings).

Chris faces prison for violating parole on Northern Exposure (Hallmark, 1am).

Tomorrow / Wednesday:

“After Life” and “Flooded” episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (FX, 6am, 7am).

“Over The Rainbow” episode of Angel (TNT, 7am).

Sci-Fi mini-marathon du jour: Planet Of The Apes (Sci-Fi, 7am – 3pm).

Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Liam Neeson, Natascha McElhone (of Revelations) on Today (NBC, 7am – 10am).

Good Morning, America (ABC, 7am – 9am).

The Early Show (CBS, 7am – 9am).

Mos Def, Liam Neeson on Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated, check your local listings).

Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, Neve Campbell, Rosie O’Donnell, with guest co-host Mila Kunis (of That ’70s Show) on The View (ABC, check your local listings).

“Luke Can See Her Face” episode of Gilmore Girls (ABC Family, 10am). One of the episodes voted a fan favorite, it’s from last season.

No Ed on TBS.

Baseball: Baltimore Orioles at Boston Red Sox (ESPN, Noon).

Baseball: Atlanta Braves at New York Mets (TBS, Noon).

“Life Serial” and “All The Way” episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (FX, Noon, 1pm).

Baseball: Cincinnati Reds at Chicago Cubs (WGN, 1pm).

Penny Marshall, Rob Morrow (of Numb3rs), Ellie Lawson, 12-year-old accordion player John Moceo on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

Duchovny Alert! David Duchovny, Jaclyn Smith, Chef Paolo on The Tony Danza Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

Michael J. Fox on The Jane Pauley Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Parenting Headaches” on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings).

“The He’s Just Not That Into You Revolution” on Oprah (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Those Are Strings, Pinocchio” episode of Gilmore Girls (ABC Family, 4pm Wednesday; 10am Thursday). Another fan favorite, this was the season 3 finale where Rory graduates from high school.

“Eternity” episode of Angel (TNT, 4pm).

Part 2 (of 6) of Revelations (Bravo, 4pm). Last chance to see this episode, episode 3 airs on Wednesday night on NBC.

“The Aretha Theory” and “Final Answer” episodes of Felicity (We, 5pm, 6pm). From the end of season 2 (and Felicity’s sophomore year at college). Kevin Weisman (of Alias), Donald Faison (of Scrubs), Amy Smart, and Ian Gomez (of Jake In Progress) guest star.

“And It’s Surely To Their Credit” episode of The West Wing (Bravo, 6pm).

“Chops” episode of Good Eats (Food Network, 6pm).

Mini Mouthfuls Unwrapped (Food Network, 6:30pm).

Primetime Wednesday Preview:

A Lost special about the series thus far (to help catch people up).

Baseball on ESPN and ESPN2. NBA playoffs on TNT.
