Best Bet: Johnny Staccato marathon (Trio, 7am – 7pm). Set those VCRs and Tivos! John Cassavetes stars as Johnny Staccato in this shortlived series from 1959-60. Staccato is a jazz pianist in Greenwich Village who moonlights as a private detective. Filmed in black and white in New York City, features lots of great jazz and some pretty cool guest stars, too.
