These are Laurel’s super abbreviated picks for Saturday (it’s like a day off, except not quite ‘cuz I can’t resist mentioning a few things).
Best Bet for Saturday: Comedy Central airs episodes from the first hilarious season of Reno 911! (Comedy Central, 5pm – 12:30am). The second season starts this week.
Other stuff on this Saturday: An Addams Family marathon starts on TV Land at 5am (and runs ’til 5am Monday). Trio airs lots of Cop Rock. MSNBC has D-Day specials. The Belmont Stakes airs on NBC on Saturday afternoon. Rocco fans (and those who enjoy watching him squirm) may not want to miss the season finale of The Restaurant (NBC, 7pm).
Laurel will return with a “normal” edition of the TV Picks for Sunday.

God tells Joan to join the debate team on a rerun of Joan of Arcadia (CBS, 7pm).
Lisa Rinna hosts a new episode of Merge (Lifetime, 7pm and 10pm). This is the home makeover show where couples merge their styles or something. Well, one of those shows. In this new episode, the guy likes a gameroom look, the woman likes florals and pastels. Oh-oh.
Baseball: Houston Astros at St. Louis Cardinals (ESPN, 7pm).
The Travel Channel takes you to Hawaii tonight with a series of specials. Ah, Hawaii.
More episodes of TV flops on Trio: Cop Rock (Trio, 7pm, 10pm, 1am), My Mother the Car (Trio, 8pm and 11pm, 8:30pm and 11:30pm), and Pink Lady and Jeff (Trio, 9pm and midnight).
Series premieres of Good Girls Don’t (Oxygen, 8pm), Show Me Yours (Oxygen, 9pm), and Naked Josh (Oxygen, 9:30pm). With a new episode of Girls Behaving Badly (Oxygen, 8:30pm) thrown in the mix. None of these new series have received good reviews (or at least I haven’t seen them). I haven’t had a chance to screen these, so don’t know much about them. If you’re curious, you can read more about the series on the Oxygen website.
Oakland A’s pitcher Barry Zito guest stars on a rerun of JAG (CBS, 8pm). Dean Stockwell (of Quantum Leap) also guest stars.
A&E in Concert: Aerosmith: You Gotta Move (A&E, 8pm – 10pm; midnight – 2am).
The Smothers Brothers play contractors who get a gig on Morning Chicago on Life with Bonnie (ABC, 8:30pm). They do their thing, of course.

An expedition back to the shipwrecked Titanic on 20/20 (ABC, 9pm).
Clinton & Stacy of What Not To Wear (TLC, 9pm and midnight) take on a “bohemian in her 40s.”
Touching Evil (USA, 9pm and 11pm). Rerun, not a new episode. Next new episode airs on Monday.
Wayne Newton appears (as himself), a con artist takes advantage of Delinda on a rerun of Las Vegas (NBC, 9pm). Paul Ben-Victor and Vincent Ventresca (of the shortlived Sci-Fi series The Invisible Man) guest star.
Ben Stiller, an NBA roundtable with NBA commissioner David Stern, Counting Crows on On The Record with Bob Costas (HBO, 10pm; also at 9am Saturday and lots of other times).
The very first episode of NewsRadio (Biography, 10pm and 2am).
