Info for Monday daytime and a preview of Monday primetime is now available at the bottom of the page.

Picks for Sunday follow these abbreviated picks for Saturday.

I won’t be doing a full version of ye olde picks for this Saturday. If you want some idea of what’s on in the daytime on Saturday, you might refer to my picks for last Saturday as there should be plenty of similarities. And, of course, check your local listings.

Nashville Star (airs again at 11pm)

TCM airs baseball movies in primetime and late night including Field of Dreams (TCM, 7pm) and A League of Their Own (TCM, 9pm).

Yet another airing of Celeste in the City (ABC Family, 7pm). Romantic comedy. Nicholas Brendan (of Buffy) and Majandra Delfino (of Roswell) star. “A gay cousin and a new friend help a shy fact-checker at a New York paper find the moxie and style she needs to improve her lot.”

Spam Cook-Off (Food Network, 8pm and midnight).

New episode of Century City (CBS, 9pm or maybe later ‘cuz of basketball). Do they really think the NCAA Tournament audience is also into both The Price is Right and Century City? Possible, but unlikely. ‘Course I like both basketball and this show, so what do I know? This show isn’t really silly sci-fi for the kids, it’s a rather staid legal drama with some science fiction elements. Legal cases of 2030. “The firm argues that a young man with a bionic eye, who is being barred from playing baseball, should not be considered enhanced, but rather, disabled.”

Battle Escargot on Iron Chef (Food Network, 9pm and 1am).

Rerun of Law & Order: Criminal Intent (USA, 10pm) that aired on NBC recently. With guest star Stephen Colbert.

Sunday Primetime:

I’m short on time, trying to take a break from the TV and computer this weekend. So just take a look at the grid and see if the shows you usually watch are on and if they’re new (everything is new unless it says “rerun” by it). Lots of good new stuff. I won’t try to summarize episodes for you, if you’re a fan you’re gonna watch anyway. I’ll be watching or recording new episodes of Alias, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Arrested Development, and Crossing Jordan. Possibly more things.

Kelci Stringer, wife of the late pro football player Korey Stringer (of the Minnesota Vikings) speaks out about why she blames the team for Stringer’s death; an interview with Ted McGinley about the popular belief that an apperance by him equals death for a tv series (or at least a “jump the shark” moment); story of a young girl who is in a coma for a month and the struggles she has when she wakes up; and an interview with the band Aerosmith on Dateline NBC (NBC, 6pm).

Crab on Iron Chef (Food Network, 6pm).

National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, Judge Charles Pickering, Freddy Adu on 60 Minutes (CBS, 6pm).

Jesus (CBS, 8pm) is actually one part of the two-part miniseries that aired a couple of years ago on CBS. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Rerun of an episode of The Shield (FX, 9pm) from Tuesday.

Late Night:

New episode of Home Movies (Cartoon Network, 10pm and 1am).

Tripping The Rift (Sci-Fi, 10pm).

Touching Evil (USA, 11:30pm).

Farscape (Sci-Fi, midnight).

Duckman (Comedy Central, 1am, 1:30am).

Monday:

“Revelations” and “Lover’s Walk” episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (FX, 6am, 7am).

Parminder Nagra (of ER, Bend It Like Beckham), People Magazine 30th anniversary on Today (NBC, 7am – 10am).

Good Morning, America (ABC, 7am – 9am).

Matthew Lillard (of Scooby Doo), David Evangelista on The Early Show (CBS, 7am – 9am).

Julia Stiles, Kelly Rowan (of The O.C.), “Mom’s Dream Come True Contest” on Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated, check your local listings).

Helen Mirren, Carlos Bernard (of 24), best products from this year’s home show on The View (ABC, check your local listings).

Sci-Fi mini-marathon du jour: Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (Sci-Fi, 10am – 3pm).

Roseanne Barr, Chicago, Rachel Dratch (of Saturday Night Live, Game Over) on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

Tommy Davidson guest hosts, with guests Corbin Bernsen, Jerry Penacoli, Shelby Lynne on The Sharon Osbourne Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

Catherine Hicks, psychic medium Mary Occhino, Michael Buble, Amazing Animals Week with Wildlife Expert Jarod Miller on The Wayne Brady Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Teen Weight Loss Challenge” & healthy drive thru choices on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings).

Rerun of a “Weight Loss Success Stories” episode of Oprah (syndicated, check your local listings).

“The Wish” episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (FX, 3pm).

“Waiting in the Wings” episode of Angel (TNT, 4pm).

“Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics” episode of The West Wing (Bravo, 6pm and 10pm).

In primetime on Monday expect new episodes of The Bernie Mac Show, Cracking Up, C.S.I. Miami. and Average Joe: Adam Returns. Most other shows that regularly air on Mondays aren’t on or are reruns. There’s a Significant Others marathon on Bravo. It’s “Beach Week” on the Travel Channel. I’ll have more details and info for Monday TV in the full edition of ye olde picks which will go online sometime after midnight and before Noon Monday
