Best Bets:

Angel (WB, 8pm)
Good Eats (Food Network, 8pm and midnight)
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight)

News:

FOX halted production of Boston Public while they were in the middle of producing a 15th episode for this season. Seems a bit rude, that. Let ‘em at least finish the episode.

The Mullets returns in March, Star Trek Enterprise moves an hour later. Production has been halted on Jake 2.0.

Marti Noxon (of Buffy) is working on a pilot for FOX.

Jack Paar died yesterday. Links to lots of pieces about Paar can be found at TVTattle.com and elsewhere.

Daytime:

Sci-Fi mini-marathon du jour: The Outer Limits (Sci-Fi, 10am – 3pm).

The Salem serial killer is revealed today on Days of Our Lives (NBC, check your local listings).

Burt Reynolds, Nick Cannon, Meredith (of The Bachelorette) on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

Harvey Levin (of Celebrity Justice) and Gloria Allred (another attorney) discuss the Michael Jackson case on The Sharon Osbourne Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

Terry Bradshaw, Gary Valentine, Dr. Gadget on The Wayne Brady Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Profile of a Pregnancy Follow-up” on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Inside Detox” on Oprah (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Once More, With Feeling” episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (FX, 3pm). The fabulous musical episode. May run long (I think they might be airing the full version which ran over, but I could be wrong. Just seems possible based on the schedule).

“I’ve Got You Under My Skin” episode of Angel (TNT, 4pm).

Part 1 (of 3) of Traffic: The Miniseries (USA, 4pm).

“Holy Night” episode of The West Wing (Bravo, 6pm and 10pm).

G. Love & Special Sauce; Sheryl Crow on Sessions at West 54th (Trio, 6pm).

Another Wednesday of Katharine Hepburn movies on TCM: The African Queen (TCM, 7pm), The Lion in Winter (TCM, 9pm), Dragon Seed (TCM, 11:30pm), and Mary of Scotland (TCM, 2am).

Mysterious emails have folks attacking Chloe on a new Smallville (WB, 7pm). This show’s become rather intense lately, hasn’t it? Ian Somerhalder returns as Adam.

A couple more episodes of Bakersfield, P.D. (Trio, 7pm and 10pm, 7:30pm and 10:30pm).

“Multi-billion dollar counterfeiting business; Ed and Steve Sabol; Clint Eastwood” on 60 Minutes II (CBS, 7pm).

Remember when Archer lost his short-term memory on Star Trek Enterprise (UPN, 7pm)? Yeah, it’s a rerun of that episode.

Tom Selleck is profiled on Biography (A&E, 7pm and 11pm).

Angel (WB, 8pm) and company encounter a new vampire slayer (who may have some, um, issues). And I don’t think I’m spoiling anything when I tell you that a character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer shows up. That’d be Andrew (Tom Lenk). Next week: the 100th episode and the return of Charisma Carpenter.

Corn dogs, basket burgers on “The Man Food” episode of Good Eats (Food Network, 8pm and midnight).

Series premiere of BET’s first reality series College Hill (BET, 8pm and 10:30pm). “Eight coeds consider black college life at Southern University in Louisiana.”

Rerun of the pilot episode of Keen Eddie (Bravo, 8pm and 11pm), followed by last night’s new episode (Bravo, 9pm and midnight).

Bill Maher on Larry King Live (CNN, 8pm, 11pm, 2am).

Rudy Giuliani, David Horowitz, Naomi Wolf, Willie Brown on Dennis Miller (CNBC, 8pm and 11pm).

Rerun of “The Dogs Of War” episode of The West Wing (NBC, 8pm). John Goodman is president, Zoey’s still missing, and like that.

Rerun of “The Heights” episode of The O.C. (FOX, 8pm). First episode after the “fall premiere,” it’s the one where the gang first returns to school after their trip to Mexico.

Still no Jake 2.0 this week either. Sorry folks.

Believe it or not, Becker finally realizes he’s happy on the series finale of Becker (CBS, 8:30pm). Does sound like the episode wraps things up for the characters. Episode is titled “D.N.R.”

Rerun of Law & Order (NBC, 8:59pm) from early November. Roscoe Lee Brown guest stars. With Lorraine Toussaint as Shambala Green and Carolyn McCormick as Dr. Olivet.

“Assistant District Attorney Steve Tauzer is found murdered in his garage” and they investigate on 48 Hours Investigates (CBS, 9pm).

I’m totally hooked on Bands Reunited (VH1, 9pm and 11pm). Tonight’s band: Dramarama.

The Bangles at the House of Blues (We, 9pm).

Late Night:

Gov. Christie Whitman on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).
