Joe Penny guest stars on 7th Heaven (WB, 7pm). I’d try to summarize the storylines, but I doubt it much matters. Usual stuff. Camden family soap opera with the usual array of folks from their town.
Morning After: 40 Greatest Drinking Songs (CMTV, 7pm).
Recently Ken Tucker of Entertainment Weekly wrote a lovely piece in praise of Everwood which concluded with the statement: “Really, if you’re not watching Everwood, you’re not missing a guilty pleasure: You’re missing pure pleasure.” Yeah. That’s what I’ve been trying to convey here. The show really has been great this year, one of my favorites so far this season. Tonight on Everwood (WB, 8pm, rerun on Sunday at 5pm): Ephram’s preoccupied with Madison, Amy’s depression worsens, and then there’s something about a mechanic (played by J.K. Simmons of Oz and Law & Order fame) who many think may be a seer after he makes a tricky diagnosis. And if you were wondering what’s up with Dr. Linda (Marcia Cross), I think we may find out tonight.
Ray tells a “small white lie” to his mother and the things snowball (of course) on Everybody Loves Raymond (CBS, 8pm).
A con artist works Delinda (that’s Big Ed’s daughter) and Wayne Newton guest stars on Las Vegas (NBC, 8pm). Skin was a far better show than this one, pity this one was picked up for the rest of the season (by NBC) and Skin was cancelled (by FOX).
“Spices” and “Hot Stuff” on Unwrapped (Food Network; 8pm and midnight, 8:30pm and 12:30am).
“Charlie uses his ability to write jingles to produce Jake’s school musical” on Two and a Half Men (CBS, 8:30pm).
“Tony Gonzalez of the Kansas City Chiefs helps the 12 remaining contestants get into shape” on Average Joe (NBC, 9pm).
Lauren Holly and Jason Lewis guest star on C.S.I. Miami (CBS, 9pm). A member of the pit crew at a car race goes up in flame.
Funny reruns of Reno 911! (Comedy Central, 9pm, 9:30pm).
Will Ferrell on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).
Lollipops on Unwrapped (Food Network, 10pm).
“The Dough Also Rises” (biscuits) episode of Good Eats (Food Network, 10:30pm).
Kathy Griffin, Franklin Ajaye, Jim Norton, Greg Giraldo on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn (Comedy Central, 10:30pm and 12:30am).
Norm Macdonald, Jack Hanna (and a bunch of animals), latest Survivor castoff on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).
Hugh Grant, Dakota Fanning, Jonny Lang on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm).
Colin Farrell, Molly Shannon, Smash Mouth on a rerun of Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:35pm).
Kelly Clarkson, Mitch Hedberg, guest co-host D.L. Hughley on Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC, check your local listings).
Kelsey Grammer, Jagged Edge on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn (CBS, check your local listings).
Gina Gershon, Steve Kerr, Stellastarr on Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC, check your local listings).
Diane Sawyer, Pink on Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated, check your local listings).
Colin Firth, Whoopi Goldberg, guest co-host Erin Hershey Presley on The View (ABC, check your local listings).
Joan Rivers, Nick Lachey, Raven on The Wayne Brady Show (syndicated, check your local listings).
Kathie Lee Gifford; Benjamin McKenzie (of The O.C.); house band Earth, Wind, & Fire on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (syndicated, check your local listings).
Jamie-Lynn DiScala co-hosts with guests Chris Carmack (of The O.C.), Sean Patrick Thomas (of The DIstrict), and the Ben Taylor Band on on The Sharon Osbourne Show (syndicated, check your local listings).
“Wedding Nightmares” on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings).
