Reno 911! marathon (Comedy Central, 7pm – 10pm).
Series premiere of Skin (FOX, 8pm)
Everwood (WB, 8pm)
TV DVDs due out this Tuesday: the big Battlestar Galactica set, Season 2 of Dark Angel, Season 1 of The Dick Van Dyke Show, Season 2 of The Dick Van Dyke Show, Forever Knight, Season 2 of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, The Incredible Hulk, Season 1 of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Season 1 of Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit, and Taken. The Indiana Jones movies finally come to DVD on Tuesday, too.
While the Season 3 of Homicide: Life on the Street DVD set officially isn’t due out ’til October 28th, I can tell you that the first of the sets folks have ordered through this website started shipping yesterday. I can also tell you that the set absolutely rocks! Yes, I wish there were more extras; but the extras it has are cool and the episodes look and sound wonderful. All original music is intact. One of the best seasons from one of the best series to ever air on television. My favorite series of all time.
Other TV DVDs due out on Tuesday the 28th (pre-order now to get ‘em by the 28th): Brooklyn South, Season 2 of Coupling (UK), Season 2 of Farscape, Looney Tunes – The Golden Collection, Season 1 of Married with Children, and Season 4 of The Sopranos.
Season 1 of Roswell is due out on DVD on February 17th and is now available for pre-orders. And Season 1 of Curb Your Enthusiasm is due out on January 13th and is also now available for pre-orders. [More TV on DVD]

If you haven’t seen Reno 911!, you’re missing a hilarious show. Spoof of all things COPS, of course. There’s a Reno 911! marathon tonight (Comedy Central, 7pm – 10pm).
Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, and Grace Kelly in High Society (TCM, 7pm). Musical version of The Philadelphia Story.
“Greg is aghast to see housemates conspiring against Jimmy on a live telecast of Big Brother‘ and he breaks into the house to warn him” on Yes, Dear (CBS, 7pm). Okay, the premise makes me chuckle, I can’t help it. Julie Chen and Robert Klein guest star, along with several former Big Brother houseguests.
The team fears there will be a bombing at a Veteran’s Day parade on Threat Matrix (ABC, 7pm). Rerun of the second episode of this series.
“Medieval Castle House” on Monster House (Discovery, 7pm and 10pm).
“A lonely housewife (Rosanna Arquette) starts an affair with an aspiring writer (Peter Horton) after she finds the ditched gun” on the first episode of Gun (Trio, 7pm and 10pm).
Simon’s gone and everybody else seems to need Dad’s help (so what else is new?) on 7th Heaven (WB, 7pm).
Yes, FOX is at it again. “David Smith, a Texas rodeo clown who earns $11,000 a year, pays court to European beauties who have been told he is worth millions; David meets 14 women at a formal ball and later invites 11 of them to remain with him at the Italian villa” on The Next Joe Millionaire: An International Affair (FOX, 7pm).
Series premiere of Skin (FOX, 8pm). I’ve seen the first two episodes of this show and I like it. Ron Silver plays an adult entertainment mogul who lives in Los Angeles, Kevin Anderson plays L.A.’s district attorney. When the mogul’s daughter and the D.A.’s son fall for each other (not knowing anything about each other’s parents), it’s really unfortunately timed (for them, not for dramatic purposes): they fall for each other right as the D.A. vows to take down the mogul. Needless to say, the parents don’t want the kids seeing each other. It’s a slickly produced show, but the camera gimmickry is kept to a minimum (unlike on Las Vegas). The teens are likeable, you can’t help but pull for them. Silver and Anderson play complex characters, too; there’s no clear-cut good guy or bad guy, they each have good and bad qualities. The supporting cast is good and so far lots of cool folks have shown up in recurring roles (Michelle Hurd, for instance, plays a detective. It’s as if she left SVU and showed up here). Worth checking out if you can fit it into your schedule. It’s better than Las Vegas, not quite as good as Everwood or Everybody Loves Raymond (but it’s far different from the latter two in tone). I’d take this over C.S.I. Miami or Third Watch, too. So far, of course, I’ve only seen the first two episodes after all.
I can’t help it, y’all. I love Everwood (WB, 8pm; rerun on Sunday at 5pm in most markets). Dr. Abbott fears his sister (Marcia Cross) and Dr. Brown may like each other, so he tries to find a more “suitable suitor” for her. Ephram may just finally tell Amy how he feels about her (but he’s also confused by his feelings for babysitter Madison). And Dr. Brown tries to help his friend the minister who is going blind. Coming soon (in the new few episodes): guest apperances by James Earl Jones, Beau Bridges, and Haley Joel Osment.
I Love The ’80s Strikes Back is like I Love The ’80s but with all new content for each year! Whee! Check out 1980 (VH1, 8pm and midnight) and 1981 (VH1, 9pm and 1am). It’s addicting stuff.
Ray hires a friend to replace their kitchen stove on Everybody Loves Raymond (CBS, 8pm). Of course his contractor friend takes forever and this causes conflict.
“Inundated with sci-fi geeks and girls in bikinis hoping to enjoy the last few weeks of summer, Danny (Josh Duhamel) and Ed (James Caan) hunt for a sexual predator preying upon unsuspecting women including Delinda” on Las Vegas (NBC, 8pm).
“Condiments” and “Cheez” on Unwrapped (Food Network; 8pm and 11pm, 8:30pm and 11:30pm).
DMX and Mia Farrow guest star on Third Watch (NBC, 9pm).
A gunman opens fire at a bar and leaves the owners dead and a third man wounded on C.S.I. Miami (CBS, 9pm).
Two more episodes of Nip/Tuck (FX, 9pm, 10pm).
Dr. Henry Kissinger on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).
Casseroles on Good Eats (Food Network, 10:30pm).

Rerun of the first post-pilot episode of Peacemakers (USA, 11pm).
