Don’t forget to check out the 2003-04 Fall Schedule Grid (now with premiere dates!).
The morning news shows on the networks will be covering the anniversary and at least part of the memorials, of course.
CNN will cover the memorials this morning.
Seven Days in September (A&E, 7am-9am, 1pm-3pm). Directed by Steven Rosenbaum. Contains the work of both professional and amateur photographers on September 11th and from the days that followed. I’m told it’s an excellent piece of work, that represents a whole lot of diverse perspectives and viewpoints and which does a good job of portraying the days immediately after September 11th, 2001.

In Memoriam: New York City, 9/11/01 (HBO, 6pm).
NY Firefighters (Discovery, 6pm).
Heroes of Ground Zero (PBS, check your local listings). About the NYPD.
9/11: A Tale of Two Towers (PBS, check your local listings).
9/11: The President’s Story (TLC, 7pm - 9pm; 10pm - midnight).
Series premiere of Steve Harvey’s Big Time (WB, 7pm - 8pm). It’s been called a “variety sideshow.” Steve Harvey hosts this show that’s basically an entire show of Stupid Human Tricks. Madeleine Smithberg (of The Daily Show) is an executive producer on the show.
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (TCM, 7pm).
Season premiere of What I Like About You (WB, 8pm). Jennie Garth and Amanda Bynes star in this series about a couple of sisters. This season, they move into a “funky loft apartment.” And they’re gonna start hanging out at a diner. Oooh ahhh! Whatever.
More Reality of Reality (Bravo, 8pm and midnight. Earlier installment airs at 7pm).
Walter Cronkite on Larry King Live (CNN, 8pm and 11pm and 2am).
11-09-01: September 11 (Trio, 8pm - 10pm; 11pm - 1am). 11 short films from around the world tackle the subject.
The Bravest Team: The Rebuilding of the FDNY Football Club (ESPN2, 8pm).
DC 9/11: Time of Crisis (Showtime, 8pm).
NBC schedule is odd because of the odd lengths of their reruns. Darn supersizing. The previously scheduled rerun of Scrubs has been preempted in favor of another airing of the pilot of Whoopi (NBC, 8:25pm). I’ve seen it, it’s really not worth your trouble. A few laughs I suppose, but mostly it’s politically incorrect and too darn proud of it and just kinda pedestrian.
Series premiere of The Mullets (UPN, 8:30pm). Loni Anderson and John O’Hurley play parents to a couple of dudes with mullets. Dude. Show will air regularly on Tuesdays. Check out Aaron Barnhart’s review.
Series premiere of Run of the House (WB, 8:30pm). Joey Lawrence stars in this series about four siblings who are left on their own when their parents move away. Three of the siblings are over 20, I think, and one is 15. Doesn’t sound promising to me (nor have critics who’ve seen it been kind).
Season premiere of Primetime Thursday (ABC, 9pm) includes a report on homeland security.
Pentagon Under Fire (TLC, 9pm and midnight).
Without A Trace (CBS, 9pm) was one of my three favorite new series from last season (the other two? Everwood and Boomtown). Tonight’s rerun is of the conclusion of the two-part season finale, which touches on the events of 9/11. A man who lost his wife that day holds people hostage. But there’s a whole lot more going on than that. The conclusion of this episode is beautiful and touching and makes me cry every time.
That’s Entertainment! (TCM, 9pm).
Reflections From Ground Zero (Showtime, 10pm).
New episode, but no guest on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).
John DiResta on The Orlando Jones Show (FX, 10pm and 12:30am).
Futurama (Cartoon Network, 10:30pm).
Christopher Hitchens, Bobby Slayton, Greg Giraldo, Hood on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn (Comedy Central, 10:30pm and 12:30am).
Regis Philbin, Seal on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).
Adrien Brody, model Karolina Kurova on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm).
Jim Carrey, Eiliza Dushku, Regena Thomashauer on a rerun of Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:35pm).
Anthony Anderson, Dr. Drew Pinsky, ESPN’s Kenny Mayne, guest co-host Adam Carolla on Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC, check your local listings).
Reba McEntire, Jason Lewis, Eve 6 on The Late Late Show (CBS, check your local listings).
Robert Rodriguez, Shannon Briggs, Nappy Roots on Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC, check your local listings).
“Relly Awards” special with Donald Trump, Susan Lucci, Joan Rivers on Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated, check your local listings).
Conan O’Brien, Joan Lunden on The View (ABC, check your local listings).
Tim Conway, Kristian Alfonso, Anthony Anderson, Josh Kelley on a new The Wayne Brady Show (syndicated, check your local listings).
“Dr. Phil’s Success Stories” on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings). Season premiere is next Monday.
“That’s Incredible!” on Oprah (syndicated, check your local listings).
