I’ve decided to launch another mailing list– this one for those people interested in releases of TV on DVD, you can sign up on the TV on DVD page. I expect to send out an email about once a week which lists which TV DVDs are due out that week, which DVDs have been recently announced and recently made available for pre-order. Stuff like that. TV DVD news.
I made a major update to the TV on DVD page as I’d fallen a bit behind. Lots of new releases now available or available for pre-order. Visit that page for the full list. Some of the coolest, IMHO: Space Ghost Coast to Coast, The Tick, Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, Jim Henson’s The Storyteller, Season 2 of Farscape, Season 1 of The Dick Van Dyke Show (and Season 2 too), Season 4 of The Sopranos, more Wiseguy, Season 1 of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Season 1 of Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit, and more.
Steve McQueen movies on TCM.
Duck vs. Rabbit marathon (Cartoon Network, 6am-6pm). 12 hours of cartoons featuring both Daffy Duck & Bugs Bunny. Woohoo! (actually, that should sound more like one of Daffy’s crazy woohoos, you know the ones I mean).
Lots of Sports Century on ESPN Classic today.
Boggy Creek II, and the Legend Continues on Mystery Science Theater 3000 (Sci-Fi, 8am-10am).

Rerun of the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (Bravo, 5pm) episode that aired this past week on NBC. It’s an older one, with the urban cowboy who wants to propose to his girlfriend. A good episode of this great show. First of three episodes in a row on Bravo (Bravo, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm). All reruns, but a good way to catch up if you haven’t been watching regularly.

Last two episodes of Just Shoot Me (ABC, 7pm, 7:30pm). Series finale. There’s a wedding and I’m pretty sure Jack retires.
Charisma Carpenter (of Buffy & Angel) stars in the new made-for-TV movie See Jane Date (ABC Family, 7pm, 9pm). Based on a book by Melissa Senate. It’s the story of a woman who searches for the perfect date to bring to a wedding (in order to wow an old enemy from high school, of course). Holly Marie Combs, Linda Dano, Evan Marriott, Antonio Sabato Jr., and Joshua Malina also star. I’ll probably watch ‘cuz of Carpenter and Malina, I can’t help it.
Monster Garage : Shark Boat (Discovery, 7pm and 10pm).
Trading Spaces (TLC, 7pm, 8pm; 10pm, 11pm).
If only some actual stars were participating in Battle of the Network Stars (NBC, 8pm-10pm).
I can’t help it, I find Reno 911! (Comedy Central, 8pm, 8:30pm) funny.
Iron Chef 2000th Plate Special (Food Network, 8pm and 11pm). French vs. Chinese chefs.
Another airing of this week’s Peacemakers (USA, 9pm). Everyone says it’s C.S.I. in the old west and so far I’ve only heard good things about this show.
Rerun of MI-5 (A&E, 10pm) from this past week. Anthony Stewart Head (of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Hugh Laurie guest star.
Law & Order: SVU (USA, 10pm).
MAD TV (FOX, 10pm).
Brittany Murphy hosts Saturday Night Live (NBC, check your local listings). With musical guest Nelly. Rerun.
G.I. Joe (Cartoon Network, 11pm, 11:30pm).
Kitschen: Welcome Back Kotter (TV Land, 11pm); Soap (TV Land, 11:30pm); Square Pegs (TV Land, midnight); Fernwood 2Night (TV Land, 12:30am).
Gene Kelly movies on TCM.
China Beach (History Channel, 5am).
Picks for Sunday will be online late Saturday or early Sunday (by Noon if at all possible).
