Tim Matheson makes his first appearance as the Vice President on The West Wing (Bravo, 6pm and 10pm). The staff deals with issues with the V.P., and I think they hire Mandy, and then there’s that business about Sam and the callgirl. On the second episode of the show.
Baseball: San Diego Padres at Atlanta Braves (TBS, 6:30pm).
Garbo: Grand Hotel (TCM, 7pm); Camille (TCM, 9pm); Ninotchka (TCM, 11pm); Queen Christina (TCM, 1am); and Anna Karenina (TCM, 3am).
Back to back reruns of Gilmore Girls (WB, 7pm). One is from the first season, the other from the second season. What do they have in common? Chad Michael Murray as Tristan, I guess. If you’re confused, the episode titles are “The Breakup, Part 2″ and “Run Away Little Boy,” you can visit an episode guide for help.
Rerun of last week’s episode of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (Bravo, 7pm). It’s the one with the backup singer who wants to sing lead.
Baseball : Houston Astros at Chicago Cubs (WGN, 7pm).
Emeril’s Creole Creations on Emeril Live (Food Network, 7pm and 10pm).
Bonnie wonders what her husband’s new nurse looks like on Life With Bonnie (ABC, 7:30pm).
I still haven’t watched The O.C. (FOX, 8pm) darnit. But more reasons you might want to check it out: Melinda Clarke is in it, Tate Donovan too. I have crushes on both Adam Brody and Melinda Clarke and I’m also on strong cold medicine. In tonight’s new episode, Seth hides Ryan in a vacant house or something. I’m sure it’s gotta be more interesting than it sounds. Or, um, not.
Caleb is bad, Faith is cool on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (UPN, 8pm).
Owen (Andy Dick) isn’t sure he’s father material (duh) and so his friends go in search of his biological father on Less Than Perfect (ABC, 8:30pm). Barry Bostwick guest stars. Maybe it’s just a summer fling, but I’m really enjoying this show.
New Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (Bravo, 9pm and 11pm). The Fab 5 makeover someone who works behind the scenes on the show. I know this show is getting hyped like crazy, but for once it’s happening to a good show! One of my favorite shows of the summer.
There’s a split between MI-5 and MI-6 after some sort of anti-globalization demonstration on MI-5 (A&E, 9pm and 1am). Anthony Stewart Head (of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) & Hugh Laurie guest star.
The description of tonight’s new episode of Nip/Tuck (FX, 9pm, 10:30pm) from some tv listings is just bizarre: “Aging adult-film star; party; medical school; transvestite.” Well I guess that sums it up, doesn’t it? Heh. Patti D’Arbanville and Joey Slotnick guest star. Anyone enjoying this show? I can’t get past the gross-out factor (yes, I’m a wuss).
Law & Order: SVU (NBC, 9pm) moves to a new timeslot. It’s a rerun of the extremely creepy episode which features guest stars Chad Lowe and Margot Kidder.
An unlicensed doctor is found murdered after not doing so well when performing a sex-change operation on NYPD Blue (ABC, 9pm).
A kid brings marijuana to “show and tell” and Judge Amy has to make a custody ruling relating to it or something on Judging Amy (CBS, 9pm). Reed Diamond and Rudolf Martin guest star.
Kim Cattrall on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).
Julian McMahon (of Nip/Tuck) on The Orlando Jones Show (FX, 10pm and 11:30pm).

Drew Barrymore, Simon Cowell on a rerun of The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).
Martin Short, Kelly Rowland, Lang Lang on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm).
Sarah Jessica Parker, Paul Giamatti on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:35pm).
Champion surfer Kelly Slater, Cheryl Hines, Revolution Smile, guest co-host Super Dave Osborne on Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC, check your local listings).
