VH1 continues counting down the 200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons.
It really is all Joel Stein’s fault: The Battle of the Network Stars (Trio, 6pm and 10pm), My Trio: Joel Stein (Trio, 8pm and midnight), My Mother The Car (Trio, 8:30pm and 12:30am), and Pink Lady and Jeff (Trio, 9pm and 1am). Yes, I very much wish I got Trio (though perhaps not for this).
Baseball: Philadelphia Phillies at Chicago Cubs (ESPN, 7pm). Baseball: Kansas City Royals at Minnesota Twins (ESPN2, 7pm). My parents will be at the Twins-Royals game, I’ll be watching the game. Pulling for my Twins, as always.
There’s a National Geographic (PBS, check your local listings) special on most PBS stations tonight about The FBI that sounds pretty good as these things go.
Kathie Lee Gifford on Primetime Glick (Comedy Central, 7pm).
Inspire some good daydreams with Millionaire’s Hawaii (Travel, 7pm and 10pm).
Will Smith is profiled on Biography (A&E, 7pm and 11pm).
Archer and Trip are accused of smuggling and confined aboard a prison ship on Enterprise (UPN, 7pm).
“The Muffin Man” on Good Eats (Food Network, 8pm and 11pm).
Teams build monster trucks on Junkyard Wars (TLC, 8pm and 11pm).
MLB Video: New York Mets History (ESPN Classic, 8pm-10pm, 11pm-1am).
“Drew organizes a road trip to meet a girl who responded to an ad Lewis and Oswald placed” and “Drew has to adjust to his new girlfriend’s sleep disorder” on two new episodes of The Drew Carey Show (ABC, 8pm, 8:30pm). Notable because episodes are new.
“A death row inmate (Jeremy Sisto) is granted a new trial after three botched attempts to execute him; a soldier (Gil Bellows) returns home to make amends to his son (Penn Badgley)” on The Twilight Zone (UPN, 8pm). Alicia Witt also guest stars.
Dave Attell’s in Boise on Insomniac (Comedy Central, 8pm).
Back to back reruns of good old reliable Law & Order (NBC, 8pm, 9pm). If you want to make it an all Law & Order evening, you can catch reruns at 6pm and 7pm on TNT, too.
“Fat Camp” and “Lil Crime Stoppers” episodes of South Park (Comedy Central, 8:30pm, 9pm).
Every time I see adds or listings for Cupid (CBS, 9pm), I experience a brief moment of excitement then sadness as I always first think of the brilliant ABC dramedy Cupid created by that Jeremy Piven and Paula Marshall starred in. I so loved that show. Wish some cable network would air those episodes or that it were possible for it to be released on DVD. This Cupid is just another dumb reality show, dangit.
“Lt. Dangle declares a zero tolerance policy only to find that he’s the only criminal in town” on the series premiere of Reno 911! (Comedy Central, 9:30pm and 11:30pm). Best cops in a 4 mile radius. Or something. Check out Aaron Barnhart’s review of this reality TV spoof that features former castmembers of The State.
Audrey Tautou on The Orlando Jones Show (FX, 10pm).
Aliens will destroy Earth if they can’t see the last episode of an old TV series on Futurama (Cartoon Network, 10pm).
Dick Morris on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).
Dom Irrera, Scott Thompson, Nick DiPaolo, Carole Montgomery on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn (Comedy Central, 10:30pm and 12:30am).
