Best Bets:

Friends (NBC, 7pm-7:40pm)
C.S.I. (CBS, 8:20pm? Delayed, airs after presidential address)
Without A Trace (CBS, 9:20pm? Airs after the delayed episode of C.S.I.)
ER (NBC, 9:12pm-10:12pm or so)

News:

President Bush will give a speech at 8pm this evening. It will mess up the primetime schedule and may push back late night talk shows, too. And NBC’s shows are “super-sized” which also creates problems.

Still sick with a stupid cold-type-thing. I don’t want to sound like anyone’s Mom, but do drink lots of fluids and get plenty of vitamins C and E and some zinc. You don’t want this crud that’s going around.

Daytime:

Alec Baldwin, Carl Reiner on The Caroline Rhea Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

Jane Kaczmarek, Jonathan Silverman, Nigella Lawson, KC and the Sunshine Band on The Wayne Brady Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Big Changes, Bigger Problems – If you think losing hundreds of pounds will improve your life, you could be wrong. Dr. Phil talks to women whose big weight loss caused them even bigger problems. They were sabotaged, lost friends, and had family turn against them” on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Everybody Has a Story” on Oprah (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Beauty and the Beasts” and “Homecoming” episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (FX, 5pm, 6pm).

Primetime:

President Bush will give a speech at 8pm this evening. It will mess up the primetime schedule and may push back late night talk shows, too. And NBC’s shows are “super-sized” which also creates problems.

NBA playoffs on TBS and TNT, NHL playoffs on ESPN (check your local listings or sources for sports news).

1st Annual BET Awards Show (BET, 6:30pm). Hosted by Steve Harvey and Cedric the Entertainer.

Chandler and Monica visit a fertility clinic, Ross helps Joey woo a professor (Aisha Tyler) on Friends (NBC, 7pm).

Survivor (CBS, 7pm).

A horse trainer is killed while in the cargo hold of a plane on C.S.I. (CBS, 8:20pm? AFter the President speaks).

“A doctor, an entomologist and the military try to eradicate alien DNA that causes people to mutate into insects” on Threshold (Sci-Fi, 8pm-10pm). Nicholas Lea (of The X-Files), Jamie Luner, and um . . . Stephen J. Cannell star.

“An update on the Elizabeth Smart case from the lead investigator” on Primetime Thursday (ABC, 8:30pm-10pm).

Karen hires a seemingly immature attorney (Macaulay Culkin) to argue for her divorce against Will on Will & Grace (NBC, 8:34pm-9:12pm or thereabouts).

Remember that really creepy headmaster that they put away on Without A Trace? (CBS, 9:15pm? will air delayed after C.S.I.) There’s a big inquiry into the handling of that case. And pretty much everyone on the team is investigated during this episode. Puts the spotlight on the team, their lives, and how they do their work. It’s a departure from the show’s formula, but I’m confident it’ll be interesting.

New episode of ER (NBC, 9:12pm or so).

Late Night:

Famke Janssen on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).

Bernie Mac, Amanda Peet on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm, may start late).

Drew Carey, Lisa Marie Presley on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm, may start late).

John Malkovich, the Used on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:35pm, may start late).

Rebecca Romjin-Stamos, Donal Logue, guest co-host John Edward on Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC, check your local listings).

Matt Dillon on The Late Late Show (CBS, check your local listings).

Ed Burns, Les Nubians, Talib Kweli on Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC, check your local listings).

Tomorrow:

Paula Abdul, Hilary Duff on Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated, check your local listings).

Antonio Banderas, Judge Judy Sheindlin, Anna Paquin, James Marsden on The View (ABC, check your local listings).

Robert Wagner, James Marsden, Brittany Snow on The Caroline Rhea Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

Mary Tyler Moore, Richard Roeper, Jayanne Obusan on The Wayne Brady Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Are You Raising a Spoiled Brat?” on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Oprah Follows Up with Memorable Guests” on Oprah (syndicated, check your local listings).
