News:

Still in the works: Eastern timezone view of this page, new mailing list with HTML emails (as well as plaintext). What else would you like to see on this page? I love hearing from you, let me know what you like and what you’d like to see improved and if you have ideas for new features.

You can now shop for bestselling TV DVDs, TV Books, and TV soundtracks at the TVPicks.net Store. That page also links to the TV on DVD page, my amazon.com portal page, and the Homicide store. I do plan to add reviews to the page and to single out certain items and such later on. Just don’t have the time to build an entire new section of the site just now. Still: hope you find it useful and thanks to everyone who is buying stuff via the links on this site!

New TV releases today on DVD: Season 1 of Dawson’s Creek, Season 3 of Friends, and Season 2 of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Full list of TV on DVD.

Breaking news could still preempt, delay, or change schedules (especially for the major networks).

Daytime:

Dawson’s Creek (TBS, 7am-11am).

Part 2 of “The Gathering” version of the pilot of Babylon 5 (Sci-Fi, 8am, letterboxed).

Silly episodes of Hercules, many involving Bruce Campbell (Sci-Fi, 10am-3pm). I quite like the very weird “Yes Virginia, There Is A Hercules” episode (Sci-Fi, 2pm).

Anthony Geary, guest co-host Barbara Walters on Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated, check your local listings).

Sigourney Weaver on The View (ABC, check your local listings).

Marathon of all the episodes of I Love The ’80s (VH1, 11am-9pm).

Amanda Bynes, Anthony Geary, American Idol cast-off Julia DeMato on The Caroline Rhea Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

Jeff Foxworthy, Jeremy London, cooking with The Ladies of Lighten Up, DJ Qualls, Stacie Orrico on The Wayne Brady Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Ask Dr. Phil, with Teens” on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings).

“What Your Mother Never Told You About Motherhood” on Oprah (syndicated, check your local listings).

Last week’s episode of 24 (FX, 3pm). Note the earlier time.

A Different World is now airing on Oxygen (Oxygen, 4pm, 4:30pm).

No Buffy the Vampire Slayer reruns on FX today.

Primetime:

The Pink Panther (TCM, 7pm, letterboxed).

“Erin Moriarty reports from the front lines with a MASH unit in Iraq” on 48 Hours (CBS, 7pm).

Three Stooges 75th Anniversary Special (NBC, 7pm).

“The Gang believes Spike is responsible for brutal attacks” on a rerun of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (UPN, 7pm). It’s a rerun next week, too. Grrr. Argh.

“Rory runs into Dean at a hockey game; Lorelai scolds Jess” on a rerun of Gilmore Girls (WB, 7pm). Worth watching to see Kirk as public address announcer.

“Jim is torn between keeping a promise or meeting Bo Diddley” on According To Jim (ABC, 7:30pm-8:30pm).

New episode of 24 (FOX, 8pm; reruns on FX).

“Jonathan is accused of shooting Lionel Luthor, and Lana’s father declines to take his case” on a rerun of Smallville (WB, 8pm; rerun on Sunday). I thought Lana’s Dad was dead? I’m so confused (probably ‘cuz I haven’t watched this show in ages).

“A boxer just released from prison needs Burton and Nick to help him regain custody of his son” on The Guardian (CBS, 8pm).

“Frasier helps build a house and gives unwanted decorating tips to the new homeowners” on Frasier (NBC, 8pm).

Series premiere of Lost At Home (ABC, 8:30pm). ” A businessman (Mitch Rouse) must reconnect with his family or lose them.” Connie Britton and Gregory Hines also star.

Season finale of The Shield (FX, 9pm, 10pm).

Barbara interviews Julianne Moore, Nicolas Cage, and Renee Zellweger on a Barbara Walters Special (ABC, 9pm). You know, the special that would’ve normally aired before the Oscars, but didn’t this time around.

The Pink Panther Strikes Again (TCM, 9pm, letterboxed).

“Amy must make a custody decision after a child brings marijuana to school for show and tell” on Judging Amy (CBS, 9pm).

Wings (Nick, 9pm-midnight). I can’t be the only one who only ever watched this show ‘cuz of Tony Shalhoub.

Late Night:

Anthony Swofford on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).

Reruns of Dragnet (USA, 10:30pm) and Tremors: The Series (USA, 11:30pm).

Colin Farrell, Roseanne Cash, and “high jumping dogs” on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm). Dave’s back! Yay!

Marisa Tomei, Rob Zombie, Lionel Richie on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm).

Revenge of the Pink Panther (TCM, 11pm, letterboxed).

Second ever episode of Farscape (Sci-Fi, 11pm).

Eddie Griffin, Dar Williams on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:35pm).

Shannen Doherty, guest co-host Mike Tyson on Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC, check your local listings).

Joey Fatone, Zach Galifianakis on The Late Late Show (CBS, check your local listings). They’re in New Orleans this week.

Very early first season episode of Stargate SG-1 (Sci-Fi, midnight).

Connie Nielson, Ringo Starr on Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC, check your local listings).

Casino Royale (TCM, 1am, letterboxed).

Kids in the Hall (Comedy Central, 1am-3am).

Tomorrow:

Colin Farrell, Bowling for Soup on Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated, check your local listings).

Kevin Sorbo, Nick Nolte, Neil Jordan, Arthur Agatston on The View (ABC, check your local listings). I’m obligated to mention that Kevin Sorbo is from my hometown of Mound, Minnesota. The park I played in as a child is now called “Sorbo Park” in his honor.

Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Rebecca Creskoff on The Caroline Rhea Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

Kelly Lynch, Jill Conner Browne, Greg Proops, Esai Morales, Denyce Graves on The Wayne Brady Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Newlyweds” on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Check Your Health 2003″ on Oprah (syndicated, check your local listings).
