Two of the best science fiction TV series begin airing regularly, from the beginning, on Sci-Fi channel today:
Babylon 5 returns to the Sci-Fi channel lineup; episodes will air at 8am weekdays. Letterboxed. Part 1 of “The Gathering” airs today, part 2 airs tomorrow and then the first regular episode (“Midnight on the Firing Line”) airs on Wednesday. The show grows on you if you give it a chance, it’s a series with some big payoff episodes that make the rest worthwhile.
Farscape begins airing Sundays-Thursdays at 11pm on the Sci-Fi channel. Starting tonight with the first episode.
And first season episodes of Stargate SG-1 are airing each Monday night from 6pm-10pm with those episodes also airing Monday-Thursday at midnight that same week (one episode each night at midnight). The episodes for this week start with the first episode after the two-hour pilot.
South Park picked up for at least two more seasons.
