NBC didn’t air the lineup they had originally scheduled for Friday night after all, instead they aired news and reruns of Law & Order CI and SVU. New episodes of Ed and Law & Order: SVU will air this Friday, as will the series premiere of that Most Talented Kid show.
News could still preempt, delay, or change schedules (especially for the major networks).
Rank: The Best and Worst of Red Carpet Fashions (E!, 10am).
All three parts of Sci-Fi channel’s Dune (Sci-Fi, 10am- ). It’s also available on DVD.
Behind the Movie: Chicago (VH1, 10:30am).
The It Factor L.A. marathon (Bravo, 10:30am-4pm). It’s a reality show about struggling actors.
Yet another airing of TV Land Awards: A Celebration of Classic TV (TV Land, 11am-1:30pm. It runs long).
Rerun of last night’s new episode of Trading Spaces (TLC, 11am). Wherein one homeowner really doesn’t like the color brown. Who’d've thunk anyone would ever be upset over one of Laurie’s designs?
College Basketball : NCAA Tournament, Second Round (CBS, starting at 11am).
Countdown to the Red Carpet: The 2003 Academy Awards Show (E!, 11am). Don’t know how this show will be affected by the decision to not “do the red carpet” as in previous years ‘cuz there’s a war going on. But I assume they’ll still be doing lots of pieces about the nominees and Oscars past, etc.
The culture of beauty in America is explored in Beauty in a Jar (A&E, Noon-2pm).
Alan Cumming interviews Halle Berry on Eavesdropping With Alan Cumming (Oxygen, 12:30pm). They get manicures and go out to eat and drive around, while chatting oh-so-”casually.”

“Clark warns Lana and Chloe about a boy (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) who is secretly dating both girls” on Smallville (WB, 4pm in most markets).
Hollywood at Home: Academy Award Winners’ Homes (HGTV, 4pm).
Behind the Red Carpet (VH1, 4:30pm).
Live From the Academy Awards (WGN, 5pm-7pm). In past years, this live special has shown Roger Ebert (among others) interviewing stars on the red carpet. Not sure if the show will go on this year or just differently as supposedly there won’t be a big Red Carpet To-Do before the show this year.
“Ephram and Delia’s grandparents pay an unexpected visit to check up on their son-in-law” on Everwood (WB, 5pm in most markets).
Live From the Red Carpet: The 2003 Academy Awards Show (E!, 5pm). Don’t expect Joan and Melissa to be out there interviewing celebs this year (you can cheer or sigh over that, it’s up to you). I’m sure E! will have some coverage of some sort, though.
A&E has Columbo movies tonight (A&E, starting at 5pm).
Roulades on Good Eats (Food Network, 5:30pm). Episode title is “Fit To Be Tied.”

Behind the Movie: Chicago (VH1, 6pm).
Not sure what ABC will air at 6pm as they won’t be airing a Barbara Walters special as they usually would. Looks like they plan to air a news special of some sort.

Samuel L. Jackson on Inside the Actor’s Studio (Bravo, 7pm and 11pm).
Trading Spaces (TLC, 7pm-10pm, 10pm-1am).

The 75th Anniversary Academy Awards (ABC, 7:30pm). Will run late, of course. If you record it, allow a lot of extra time. Expect lots of looks back at previous years since it’s a big anniversary for the show. Presumably there’ll be a more somber tone overall, too. Steve Martin hosts. Most other networks and even cable stations aren’t airing much of interest against the show.
Willow visits L.A. in an effort to restore Angel’s soul in the “Orpheus” episode of Angel (WB, 8pm). Eliza Dushku continues her guest stint as Faith. This is a rerun of the episode that aired on Wednesday night, which was interrupted or preempted in some markets. Thanks to the WB for giving fans a second chance to watch or record this important episode.
New episode of Six Feet Under (HBO, 8pm; check your local listings). Of course it’s rerun many times on HBO.
Rerun of last week’s episode of The Shield (FX, 9pm).

Futurama (Cartoon Network, 10pm).
