Wendy and Lisa do a great job with the music for Crossing Jordan, so I was delighted when I heard that a Crossing Jordan soundtrack album is due out on April 1, 2003 (go ahead and pre-order now). It’ll feature tracks by: Richard Thompson, Sam Phillips, Alison Krauss, the Holmes brothers, Marc Anthony Thompson, Cassandra Wilson, Lucinda Williams, Vic Chesnutt, Joe Henry, Rosemary Clooney, Jill Hennessy, and (of course) Wendy Melvoin & Lisa Coleman. Very cool. I tend to forget to mention the great music when I recommend the show, but you have to love a series that uses Richard Thompson’s “Shoot Out The Lights” to score a major scene.
The complete second season of South Park will be released on DVD on June 3rd, you can pre-order it now.
