wednesday
Sorry I up and disappeared on you. My excuses? Well, first my Grandpa ended up in the hospital again. Then I got sortof sick. Then I got really sick (stomach flu). Then yesterday, even though I was beyond miserable with the flu, I thought I should at least mention the new episodes of Buffy and 24, so I went to the computer . . . only to find my net.connection was dead (I hadn’t paid the cable modem bill). Sigh. I did restore that eventually. I’m still laid low with the flu (I’ve had nothing but water and a few popsicles now in the last 48 hours). I’m gonna try to be back with picks for tomorrow (Thursday), but much depends on how I feel. Hope y’all are doing better than I am.
What’s on tonight?
There is a new episode of Ed (NBC, 7pm), but The West Wing (NBC, 8pm) and Law & Order (NBC, 9pm) are reruns.
New Enterprise (UPN, 7pm), The Twilight Zone (UPN, 8pm) is a rerun.
Matt Damon and Lucy Lawless guest star on a rerun of The Bernie Mac Show (FOX, 7pm). It looks like Cedric The Entertainer Presents (FOX, 7:30pm) is a new holiday episode, tho.
Linda Eder, the Christmas Concert (Bravo, 7pm-9pm).
New episode of the cancelled Birds of Prey (WB, 8pm). Mitch Pileggi guest stars.
Two hour finale of The Amazing Race (CBS, 8pm-10pm).
Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2002 (ABC, 8pm-9pm). Halle Berry, Ozzy Osbourne, Tobey Maguire, Dr. Robert Atkins, Dr. Phil, Police Chief Charles Moose, skater Sarah Hughes and presumably three more people if I did my math right.
“It’s a Wonderful Cake” is the fruitcake episode of Good Eats (Food Network, 8pm and 11pm). Will make you want to make fruitcake (or at least try Alton’s).
Edward Norton on The Daily Show (Comedy Central, 10pm).
Denzel Washington, Kobe Bryant on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).
Roberto Benigni, political commentator James Cramer, Phantom Planets on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm).
Nathan Lane, Dave Matthews Band on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:35pm).
Lea Thompson, Busta Rhymes on The Late Late Show (CBS, check your local listings).
