News:

Doing some holiday shopping? Try out my cool amazon.com start page.

Daytime:

Jennifer Lopez, Melissa Etheridge on Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated, check your local listings).

Dennis Quaid, Phyllis George on The View (ABC, check your local listings).

Rita Wilson, Donna Hanover on The Caroline Rhea Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Closing the Gap” (dealing with teenagers) on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Stop Being a Doormat!” on Oprah (syndicated, check your local listings).

Looks like Mysterious Ways (PAX, 3pm) has moved into the weekday 3pm timeslot on PAX. Probably my favorite of any of the PAX series.

1pm-2pm episode of 24 (FX, 4pm).

“Older and Far Away” and “As You Were” episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (FX, 5pm, 6pm).

Part 6 (of 10) of Taken (Sci-Fi, 6pm-8pm).

Primetime:

Kelso and Hyde fight over Jackie on That ’70s Show (FOX, 7pm). Yes, it’s a new episode.

Christmas episodes of Invader ZIM (Cartoon Network, 7pm) and The Fairly Oddparents (Nick, 7:30pm).

Emily tries to get Christopher and Lorelai together and this leads to a nasty scene. And Kirk has a crush on Lorelai. On a rerun of Gilmore Girls (WB, 7pm) with the odd episode title “Haunted Leg.” (Well, it makes sense if you read today’s TV Quote of the Day, I guess). Second episode of this (the third) season.

“Willow’s homecoming is more problematic than anyone anticipated” on a rerun of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (UPN, 7pm). Episode is “Same Time, Same Place.”

Expect new holiday episodes of all the ABC sitcoms.

NBC offers up the special An Evening With the Dixie Chicks (NBC, 7pm-8pm).

The Limeliters, the Brothers Four, and the Highwaymen are among the performers on American Soundtrack: This Land Is Your Land (PBS, check your local listings).

“Andy and Byron compete to land a business trip to France” on a new episode of Andy Richter Controls The Universe (FOX, 7:30pm).

“Stranded in Chicago on Christmas, the Molloys celebrate with the Morning Chicago gang” on a Christmas episode of Life with Bonnie (ABC, 8pm).

“The brothers squabble over who will host Christmas festivities; Roz falls for Santa” on a new holiday Frasier (NBC, 8pm).

Part 7 (of 10) of Taken (Sci-Fi, 8pm, 10pm, midnight).

It’s 2pm on a new episode of 24 (FOX, 8pm; reruns air on FX).

A&E airs a two-hour special called Cleavage (A&E, 8pm-10pm, midnight-2am). It’s about “mankind’s fascination with breasts and cleavage.” Alrighty then.

” One of Clark’s friends finds the spaceship in a cornfield” on a rerun of Smallville (WB, 8pm).

New episodes of The Guardian (CBS, 8pm) and Judging Amy (CBS, 9pm).

New NYPD Blue (ABC, 9pm).

The Naked Chef N.Y. Christmas (Food Network, 9pm and midnight).

Late Night:

Tom Brokaw on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).

Jason Alexander, Ryan Adams on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).

Rudolph Giuliani, George Lopez, Counting Crows on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm).

Rob Schneider, Henry Winkler, Sheryl Crow on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:35pm).

Alanis Morissette on The Late Late Show (CBS, check your local listings).

Parker Posey, the Roots, Cody Chesnutt on Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC, check your local listings).
