Best Bets | Daytime | Primetime | Late Night | Tomorrow

Best Bets:

Everwood (WB, 5pm)
Gilmore Girls (WB, 6pm)
The Simpsons (FOX, 7pm)
Alias (ABC, 8pm)
Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC, 8pm)
Season premiere of Andy Richter Controls The Universe (FOX, 8:30pm)
New York Friars Club Roast: Chevy Chase (Comedy Central, 9pm, 10pm)

Daytime:

Still more James Bond movies on TNN.

Lovely Thanksgiving episode of Everwood (WB, 5pm).

“Pantry Raid II: Cool Beans” episode of Good Eats (Food Network, 5:30pm).

Primetime:

If you’ve been watching the first season episodes of Gilmore Girls (WB, 6pm) and had a feeling you were missing something, it’s probably because they’ve skipped something like three episodes thus far. The good news is, they’re now airing two of those skipped episodes. I assume they held them back to air them now because these are sortof Christmas-y. Tonight’s episode is “Rory’s Dance” and it’s sortof a beginning to a two-parter that concludes next week with “Forgiveness and Stuff” (well, that’s the Christmas episode). Anyway. They’re both great episodes, I can’t wait to see them again.

The original animated Pinocchio (ABC, 6pm-8pm).

“Homer and the family live like pioneers on a reality television series” on The Simpsons (FOX, 7pm).

” A police officer tries to stop a notorious thief who has taken hostages at a shopping mall” in Christmas Rush (TBS, 7pm, 9pm). New TV movie. Dean Cain and Eric Roberts star. Will air again next weekend, too.

“Meg braves the city streets to hear Luke play with a church choir; JJ has a late-night tryst with an older woman” on American Dreams (NBC, 7pm).

“A wicked witch traps the Charmed Ones in twisted versions of classic fairy tales” on a rerun of Charmed (WB, 7pm).

“Hank scolds Bobby for teaching the arthritic family dog how to dance” on King of the Hill (FOX, 7:30pm).

Jack, Sydney, and Irina go under cover in the first part of a two-part Alias (ABC, 8pm).

“Detectives hunt for a person with large hands when investigating a woman’s murder” on a new episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC, 8pm).

” A workaholic attorney rediscovers the true meaning of love and the holiday season after he crosses paths with a boy” in The Christmas Shoes (CBS, 8pm-10pm). Rob Lowe and Kimberly Williams star.

“The boys pester one another all day until Lois is forced to ground Malcolm on his birthday” on Malcolm in the Middle (FOX, 8pm).

“Fred and Gunn hunt for clues to their friends’ whereabouts” on a rerun of the first episode of this season of Angel (WB, 8pm).

“Andy gets $3000 for recommending a candidate for a job” on the season premiere of Andy Richter Controls The Universe (FOX, 8:30pm). Welcome back, Andy.

New York Friars Club Roast : Chevy Chase (Comedy Central, 9pm, 10pm).

New episode of The Practice (ABC, 9pm).

Late Night:

Fastlane (MTV, 10pm).

“The detectives track down two junior-high students in connection to a murder” on Law & Order: SVU (USA, 10pm).

Tomorrow Morning:

Will be posted late tonight.

Enjoy these picks? Tell me why (or just say “hi”) and/or make a donation (if you haven’t done such things already or in a while). I’m not paid to put together these picks, right now I’m unemployed, so every little bit of money (or encouragement) helps. Thanks!
