Best Bets | News | Daytime | Primetime | Late Night | Tomorrow

Best Bets:

Gilmore Girls (WB, 7pm)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (UPN, 7pm)
Chris Elliot on According To Jim (ABC, 7:30pm)
David Duchovny on Life with Bonnie (ABC, 8pm)

News:

FOX orders two more episodes of Firefly for now. Will have to wait and see if they order more.

Grounded For Life is moving from FOX to The WB.

An interview with Anthony Stewart Head. No spoilers, really, other than that Giles will be on Buffy this season (and I don’t really think of that as a spoiler so much as Great News).

Newish pages around here within the last week or so: TV on DVD page, Support page, Donations page, Shopping page.

Daytime:

Gisele Bundchen, Elisha Cuthbert (of 24), Kevin James on Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated, check your local listings).

Aiden Quinn , Gabriel Byrne, Avril Lavigne on The View (ABC, check your local listings).

Dean Cain, Alanis Morissette on The Caroline Rhea Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

“Ask Dr. Phil” on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings). “Is Dr. Phil really as tough on his staff as the tabloids claim? When is it time to give up on your dreams? How do you balance being a single mom and a dating woman? Plus, a woman who’s so afraid of animals that she drives to her mailbox, and a 24-year-old man obsessed with getting older pulls himself away from the mirror to get Dr. Phil’s help.”

“Moms with Careers: How Does She Do It?” on Oprah (syndicated, check your local listings).

Last chance to catch last week’s episode of 24 (FX, 4pm) before tonight’s new episode (FOX, 8pm).

I love the “Memento Mori” episode of The X-Files (TNT, 5pm) even if it always makes me cry. Scully learns she has cancer. Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny both rock in this episode.

“Shadow” and “Listening To Fear” episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (FX, 5pm, 6pm).

Deadline (Bravo, 6pm) is now airing at 6pm on Bravo. I (heart) Oliver Platt.

Primetime:

Rory and Jess get together?!? Eek. And the grandparents surprise Rory with a trip to Yale on Gilmore Girls (WB, 7pm). Much as Rory lives to go to Harvard, Yale is a whole lot closer to Stars Hollow.

Expect the Scoobies to deal with at least some of the events of last weeks episode in tonight’s new episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (UPN, 7pm). Perhaps first on their checklist? Finding out what Spike is up to.

Donna, Eric, and the rest of the gang visit colleges on That ’70s Show (FOX, 7pm).

Chris Elliot guest stars on According To Jim (ABC, 7:30pm).

Day 2: 11am-Noon on 24 (FOX, 8pm; FX next week).

David Duchovny returns to Life With Bonnie (ABC, 8pm) as weatherman Johnny Volcano.

Jonathan Taylor Thomas guest stars on Smallville (WB, 8pm; also on at 4pm on Sunday on the WB).

Detectives search for the killer of a 17-year-old cop on NYPD Blue (ABC, 9pm).

CBS airs new episodes of JAG (CBS, 7pm), The Guardian (CBS, 8pm), and Judging Amy (CBS, 9pm). Can’t say I watch any of these regularly any more. (Am I missing much?)

Late Night:

Rep. Harold Ford on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).

Shania Twain, Christiano Da Matta, Heidi Klum on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).

Chris Matthews, animal guy Jarod Miller, David Copperfield on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm).

Lainie Kazan, Donny Osmond, David James Elliott on The Caroline Rhea Show (ABC Family, 11pm).

Tyra Banks, Zach Galifiniakis, H. Keith Melton on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:35pm).

Leah Remini on The Late Late Show (CBS, check your local listings).

John Cleese, Good Charlotte on Last Call with Carson Daly (NBC, check your local listings).

Tomorrow:

Halle Berry, Michael Caine, John Rzeznik on Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated, check your local listings).

Jane Seymour on The View (ABC, check your local listings).

Jeremy Northam, Jerry O’Connell, Ken Stafford (from Survivor) on The Caroline Rhea Show (syndicated, check your local listings).

Updated: 3:20pm Tuesday | Next update: By Noon Wednesday, hopefully a whole lot earlier
