“Family” & “Fool For Love” episodes of Buffy (FX, 5pm, 6pm)
Sounds like a really good episode of Everwood (WB, 8pm)
Muriel Hemingway, Wallace Shawn on Crossing Jordan (NBC, 9pm)
Romancing the Bird: A Good Eats Thanksgiving (Food Network, 9pm and midnight)
You may notice that the sidebar looks different now. I may still make changes to it, but at the moment it’s featuring links and search boxes for sites which give us a cut of their take if you buy stuff from them. So if you plan to do any holiday (or other) shopping at those sites, starting your shopping trip(s) via our links is an easy way to support this site (there’s also a more detailed list of stores on this page).
Yes, the TV on DVD links have been removed from the sidebar, but the good news is they’re now on their own separate page. I’ve got links to all the major DVD releases of TV series in the U.S., plus links to some shows which are only (thus far) available on DVD in Canada and the U.K. I hope you’ll find it a useful resource (I sure do).
I’m spending some time (yet again) working on updates to the links page. Your suggestions, corrections, additions welcome now more than ever.
A cool article about the small towns featured on Gilmore Girls, Ed, Everwood, and Smallville.
A Smallville soundtrack will be in stores on February 25th.. This page has some more details.
You also may be interested in the soundtracks for Scrubs, C.S.I., Gilmore Girls, and the “Once More, With Feeling” episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Bill Cosby, Jeremy Northam, Lifehouse on Live with Regis and Kelly (syndicated, check your local listings).
Dean Cain, Tyra Banks, Monica Mitro, Ashanti on The View (ABC, check your local listings).
The popular British series about couples Cold Feet (Bravo, 10am) is airing again on Bravo at 10am on most weekdays.
Gabrielle ends up “Married with Fishsticks” in a very surreal (and funny) episode of Xena, Warrior Princess (Oxygen, 10am and 5pm). Have I mentioned my undying love for Ted Raimi?
The Wonder Years (ABC Family, 10:30am) is back on the air in reruns at 10:30am on ABC Family.
And the darkly satirical The Industry (Bravo, 11am) is also airing now frequently on Bravo at 11am weekdays. Their website says this about the show: “Ambition. Betrayal. Seduction. It’s all in a day’s work for the corporate sharks at Pyramid Productions. This bitingly satirical comedy series follows the Machiavellian quest of a group of entertainment executives to get their scripts in front of the camera and their stock price out of the toilet. (Preempted occasionally by 2-hour episodes of Columbo.)”
Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson (a.k.a. “those kids from Harry Potter“) on The View (A&E, 11am and 5pm).
Alec Baldwin, Daniel Radcliffe on The Caroline Rhea Show (syndicated, check your local listings).
Would you let Sammy Hagar decorate one of the rooms in your home? Watch Rock The House (VH1, 11:30am) and find out, I guess.
John Ritter and Bebe Neuwirth guest star on cool episodes of NewsRadio (A&E, 1pm, 1:30pm).
“How Well Do You Know Your Kids?” on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings).
“Wedding Day” on Oprah (syndicated, check your local listings). They do a fantasy wedding & reception for a couple (chosen on an earlier episode).
I now watch Trading Spaces (TLC, 3pm) almost every day. Can’t help myself.
Hot Off the Grill With Bobby Flay: Thanksgiving (Food Network, 3:30pm).
Jodie Foster lends her voice to a creepy tattoo (or maybe it’s the guy with the tat who is creepy) on a controversial episode of The X-Files (TNT, 5pm).
From Martha’s Kitchen: Holiday Pie Show (Food Network, 5:30pm).
“Family” and “Fool for Love” are two of my favorite episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (FX, 5pm). One puts Tara in the spotlight, the other showcases Spike.
“Noel opens up to Ben about his relationship problems with Ruby” on Felicity (We, 6pm, midnight, 11am tomorrow).
Last week I talked about how I was considering giving up on Boston Public (FOX, 7pm). But then I liked that episode better than I’d liked some of the others this year, so I’m still hanging in there. In tonight’s episode, Harry Senate is in trouble (yet again).
Live From the Red Carpet: James Bond: Die Another Day (E!, 7pm).
” Carrie and Doug try to find the perfect couple to join them at a Knicks game” on King of Queens (CBS, 7pm).
“An interview with Princess Diana’s butler, Paul Burrell” on 20/20 (ABC, 7pm).
Eric makes a “life-altering decision” on 7th Heaven (WB, 7pm).
Heidi Klum guest stars on Yes, Dear (CBS, 7:30pm).
The grandparents are still in town. Ephram is considering moving back to New York City (no matter what his father thinks). There’s also a party and a blizzard and someone may have a ruptured appendix. And I bet there’s a big old heated argument between Ephram and dear old Dad. And conflict between the two town doctors. Just another fine episode of Everwood (WB, 8pm; rerun at 5pm on Sunday). And yeah, I like this show a lot, it’s really grown on me. Oh yeah– Star Trek fans may find it of note that Robert Duncan McNeill directed this episode.
Robert thinks he’s found “the perfect woman” on Everybody Loves Raymond (CBS, 8pm).
“Yokas and her daughter are taken hostage during a bank heist” on Third Watch (NBC, 8pm).
NFL Football: Chicago Bears at St. Louis Rams (ABC, 8pm).
Mariel Hemingway, Wallace Shawn, and Jerry O’Connell guest star on Crossing Jordan (NBC, 9pm). Hemingway plays a lesbian radio talk show host whose lover is murdered. This great show is getting beat up in the ratings by CSI Miami and it’s just not fair as this is the better show. Here’s hoping NBC will keep the show alive (and possibly move it to a better timeslot).
I love love love Romancing the Bird: A Good Eats Thanksgiving (Food Network, 9pm and midnight). If you love Good Eats, you won’t want to miss this special (especially if you haven’t seen it before). If you still haven’t tried Good Eats, what are you waiting for? Think you’re not interested in cooking shows? That’s what I thought, ’til I watched. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like the show, once they’ve tried it. Tivo owners be warned that if you’ve a season pass set merely for “Good Eats,” you might miss this special (I’ve set an additional wish list season pass for anything with “Good Eats” in the title, not that I’m compulsive).
There’s a sniper on the loose on C.S.I. Miami (CBS, 9pm). Yes, this episode was in the works before the real-life sniper case. (But hey, Homicide did a sniper episode years and years ago. ‘Course some people thought it farfetched at the time . . . ).
Isaac tours the Law & Order set on The Isaac Mizrahi Show (Oxygen, 9:30pm)
Ja Rule on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm and midnight).
Fastlane (MTV, 10pm).
Miss last week’s 24? You can catch the 10am-11am episode at 10pm on FX. Will also air tomorrow at 4pm on FX.
“Sex, Lies and Larvae” episode from the first season of C.S.I. (TNN, 10:05pm).
Kevin James, Matchbox Twenty, Audience from Schoharie, NY on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).
Pamela Anderson, “The Bachelor,” Busta Rhymes on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm).
Janeane Garofalo, Tom Kenny, OK Go on a rerun of Late Night with Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:35pm).
Amy Brenneman, Cedric the Entertainer, 3 Doors Down on The Late Late Show (CBS, check your local listings).

Aiden Quinn , Gabriel Byrne, Avril Lavigne on The View (ABC, check your local listings).
Dean Cain, Alanis Morissette on The Caroline Rhea Show (syndicated, check your local listings).
“Ask Dr. Phil” on Dr. Phil (syndicated, check your local listings). “Is Dr. Phil really as tough on his staff as the tabloids claim? When is it time to give up on your dreams? How do you balance being a single mom and a dating woman? Plus, a woman who’s so afraid of animals that she drives to her mailbox, and a 24-year-old man obsessed with getting older pulls himself away from the mirror to get Dr. Phil’s help.”
“Moms with Careers: How Does She Do It?” on Oprah (syndicated, check your local listings).
