The Job (ABC, 8:30pm) returns to the schedule early (yay!) as that oddly titled Wednesdays, 9:30, 8:30 central show didn’t do as well as ABC had hoped. The Job remains the funniest non-animated sitcom on the air. It’s a modern-day Barney Miller, more or less.
