Tuesday
Laurel’s stuck in a blizzard, so I’m filling in for an extra day.
FEATURED PICK
The E! True Hollywood Story: Mr. T (E!, 3pm). This doesn’t require much selling, does it? You know you want to watch.
You know when Wile E. Coyote would rig up a piano so that it would explode when the Road Runner pecked out the right melody? The melody he always used was Those Endearing Young Charms (TCM, 7am).
You know what’s a good movie? Weekend at Bernie’s II (Comedy Central, 3pm). Okay, maybe “good” isn’t the right word. But it makes me laugh. Shut up.
Tristan is back on Gilmore Girls (WB, 7pm)! Yay! And he and Rory are cast in Romeo and Juliet, which makes Dean jealous. And presumably, Lorelai has a subplot which eerily mirrors Rory’s.
Celebrities on Fear Factor (NBC, 7pm). If you’ve ever wanted to see scorpions crawling on the faces of David Hasselhoff, Donny Osmond, and Coolio (and who hasn’t, really?), this is your chance!
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (UPN, 7pm) moves forward on the Buffy-and-Spike front, and on the Black Magic Willow front.
On Undeclared (Fox, 7:30pm), Steven gets a job. It’s probably funnier than it sounds here.
Smallville (WB, 8pm) takes on the tricky subject of eating disorders as a dieting classmate suddenly starts eating everything in sight. This, like everything else in that show, is caused by Kryptonite.
24 (Fox, 8pm) has reached 3pm, which means the bars won’t be open for several hours.
I’ve heard good things about Scrubs (8:30pm, NBC), and I have to say I respect a show that has as a plot “J.D. get sa new nickname”.
Sounds like a pretty good Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm): George Clooney and Martha Stewart. Leno (NBC, 10:35pm) has Jeri Ryan.
Kilborn (CBS, 11:35pm) has Ed Burns, the latest Survivor loser (at least, I assume it’s the latest one), and Kevin Seccia. Conan (NBC, 11:35pm) has Jerry Stiller and Tim Robbins. To be parallel, I should have called him “O’Brien”, but it’s more fun to say “Conan”.
Okay, assuming Laurel can get back home, she should be back tomorrow.
