saturday
Nothing but Gunsmoke this weekend on TV Land (5am Saturday – 5am Monday).
Track of the Moon Beast is the movie on Mystery Science Theater 3000 (Sci-Fi, 8am-10am).
Mae West, Star Trek, vacuums, a 1966 Ferrari, and dolls are among the topics on The Incurable Collector (A&E, 10am).
Another truly fine episode of China Beach (History Channel, 10am). Megan Gallagher, Marg Helgenberger, Dana Delaney, Robert Picardo, and Michael Boatman are among the stars.
“Ghost of a Chance” is the second-ever episode of Homicide: Life on the Street (Court TV, 2pm). Tim Bayliss (Kyle Secor) begins work on his first case as a homicide detective: the murder of young Adena Watson (which was based, sadly enough, on the real-life murder of LaTonya Wallace). There are other storylines, too, fortunately, which add some well-needed humor to the proceedings.
Now that’s geeky television: Let’s Bowl (Comedy Central, 5pm) and Beat The Geeks (Comedy Central, 5:30pm).
Peter Sellers in Being There (TCM, 7pm).
“Ear Apparent” is the corn episode of Good Eats (Food Network, 8pm and 11pm).
Rerun of Law & Order: Criminal Intent (USA, 10pm) from a week ago.
Rerun of 100 Centre Street (A&E, 10pm).
Mad TV (FOX, 10pm).
Gwyneth Paltrow hosts Saturday Night Live (NBC, check your local listings).
Mary Chapin Carpenter and Nanci Griffith on Austin City Limits (PBS, check your local listings).
