McMurphy is investigated because so many dying soldiers leave her things in their wills on China Beach (History Channel, 6pm).
Cleveland Indians at Minnesota Twins (ESPN, 6pm, subject to blackout).
Garibaldi goes on a “secret mission” on Babylon 5 (Sci-Fi, 6pm, letterboxed). It can’t be too “secret” if it’s listed in the tv listings. Er.
Wayne Brady (of Whose Line Is It Anyway fame) gets his own variety show. It premieres tonight and it’s called (obviously enough) The Wayne Brady Show (ABC, 7pm and 7:30pm). Expect sketches and songs and guests and all sorts of cool stuff.
The Vidiots (of Teevee.org) recently named two series the best new shows of last season. Their picks? Ed (NBC, 7pm) and The Job (ABC, 8:30pm). (I was left wondering ‘What about Gilmore Girls?’ but agree that these two shows are top notch). The Ed rerun is of the one where a couple wants to get married in the bowling alley. And The Job is a rerun of the pilot episode.
“Mr. Willis of Ohio” is an excellent episode of The West Wing (NBC, 8pm) from the show’s first season. I’m so pleased they’re airing first season episodes this summer, it’s a great way for new fans to catch up. And for folks who watched from the very beginning (like myself) to remember how good the show used to be.
Alton Brown will explain why we needn’t fear mayonaisse in a new episode of Good Eats (Food Network, 8pm and 11pm) called “Mayo Clinic.”
“Over Easy” is an episode that concludes the three-part series opener of Now and Again (Sci-Fi, 8pm). If this three-parter isn’t your cup of tea, you may still like many of the standalone episodes yet to come. I love this show.
Bruno Kirby and Richard Edson guest star in “The Gas Man” episode of Homicide: Life on the Street (Court TV, 10pm). This final episode of the third season was directed by Barry Levinson and looks at things from a different perspective (that of a released convict who was arrested by Frank Pembleton). People tend to like this episode or hate it.
Kim Cattrall, Mary Chapin Carpenter on a rerun of The Late Show w/ David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).
Heather Matarrazo, Michael York, Garry Marshall on Politically Incorrect (ABC, check your local listings).
Alyson Hannigan, Darrell Hammond and Dave Attell on Late Night w/ Conan O’Brien (NBC, 11:35pm).
