McMurphy learns something surprising about Natch and Wayloo Marie (Megan Gallagher) arrives at China Beach (History Channel, 1pm and 6pm).
Sheridan and Garibaldi are both missing when season four of Babylon 5 (Sci-Fi, 6pm, letterboxed) begins. How to top the season 3 finale? Well, they can’t, really. But “The Hour of the Wolf” begins the new season wonderfully. Plus: love those fourth season opening credits.
The “summer of sci-fi” begins with new episodes of Invisible Man (Sci-Fi, 7pm and 10pm); Farscape (Sci-Fi, 8pm and 11pm); and The Outer Limits (Sci-Fi, 9pm and midnight).
The Lone Gunmen (FOX, 7pm) meet Jimmy Bond for the first time (oh-oh).
Just like old times, a Friday evening chock full of Diagnosis: Murder (CBS, 7pm and 8pm; PAX, 9pm). (So maybe years ago I was home on Friday nights and I watched and enjoyed Diagnosis Murder. Does that make me a bad person?)
“Derek, Jason and Chloe investigate reported sightings of a skunk ape in the woods surrounding a retirement community.” With tv listings like this, how could Freakylinks (FOX, 8pm) have been cancelled?
Donald Sutherland and John Heard star in The Big Heist (A&E, 8pm-10pm).
If you missed The MTV Movie Awards (MTV, 9pm) all you really need to watch is the opening spoof of The Mummy Returns (with Oded Fehr!) and maybe the opening song and dance number. The rest? Eh.
Sam Waterston, Jerry Orbach, Benjamin Bratt, and Zeljko Ivanek guest star on Homicide: Life on the Street (Court TV, 10pm). Part of a crossover with Law & Order.
Jon Stewart, David Brenner on The Late Show w/ David Letterman (CbS, 10:35pm).
John Cleese, Jordana Brewster, Travis on The Late Late Show (CBS, check your local listings).
Jordana Brewster, Lionel Richie on Politically Incorrect (ABC, check your local listings).
Jude Law, Brooke Shields, Dido on The Tonight Show (NBC, 11:05pm, probably later– closer to midnight– ‘cuz of basketball).

Katherine Hepburn is torn between Cary Grant and James Stewart and some other guy (when the other guys are Grant and Stewart– who wouldn’t get lost?) in The Philadelphia Story (TCM, 9am). One of my favorite movies of all time.
Nothin’ but Powerpuff Girls (Cartoon Network, 11am – 6pm). Fun! And not just for kids.
Charlies Angels memorabilia, a very old relic, and a Cowardly Lion costume are among the things featured on a new episode of Incurable Collector (A&E, 11am). John Larroquette hosts.
All six hours of the Dune miniseries (Sci-Fi channel, 4pm – 10pm).

Que sera sera. James Stewart and Doris Day in Hitchcock’s The Man Who Knew Too Much (AMC, 5pm).

Fry eats a really bad egg salad sandwich and then the rest of the crew is injected into his bloodstream . . . on Futurama (FOX, 6pm).

New episode of The Division (Lifetime, 8pm). Not to be confused with the District. This one has none of that Coach guy.
New Kids on the Block are the subject of a new True Hollywood Story (E!, 8pm-10pm).
Dottie and Brandy discover that a russian mobster is after the same person they are on a new episode of Huntress (USA, 9pm).
Space Ghost Coast to Coast (Cartoon Network, 11pm).
Pilot episode of Dark Skies (Sci-Fi, 11pm). Eric Close and Megan Ward star.
