The network demands that Dan apologize on the air for remarks he made about the legalization of marijuana in “The Apology” episode of Sports Night (Comedy Central, 1:30pm)
There are far worse things you could do than watch (or record) reruns of Scarecrow & Mrs. King (PAX, 2pm weekdays) and Remington Steele (PAX, 3pm weekdays). Or, for that matter, Northern Exposure (A&E, 1pm weekdays) or Magnum, P.I. (A&E, 4pm weekdays). Or Tour of Duty (TNT, 3pm weekdays).
Bogie and Bacall in To Have and Have Not (TCM, 3pm) and The Big Sleep (TCM, 5pm).
Kirk discovered “The Trouble with Tribbles” on Star Trek (Sci-Fi, 4pm).
“Ceremonies of Light and Dark” is definitely an appropriate title for tonight’s episode of Babylon 5 (Sci-Fi, 6pm, letterboxed).
“The Drop In” episode of The West Wing (NBC, 7pm). Leo’s trying to sell the president on a missile defense system, C.J. meets with a comedian (played by Rocky Carroll), the President meets some new ambassadors, and Sam argues with Toby about an environmental speech.
Bart, Milhouse, Ralph, and Nelson are recruited by a boy-band creator on The Simpsons (FOX, 7pm).
Two hours of Powerpuff Girls (Cartoon Network, 7pm-9pm).
Yay! A new episode of Good Eats (Food Network, 8pm and 11pm). This one’s called “Ham I Am”. If you haven’t yet checked out Good Eats and are thinking “why on earth would I watch a cooking show?” . . . well, you should tune it in sometime. It’s fun and it’s funny and it’s really, in a lot of ways, one of the best shows on the air.
Last season’s finale of Sex and the City (HBO, 8pm). In case you missed it or just want to remind yourself of it before the season premiere later this week.
Chance (Lucky Vanous) is on the trail of a “psychotic killer” on a new episode of 18 Wheels of Justice (TNN, 10pm).
Jim Carrey plays Jerry Seinfeld in a sketch where Seinfeld moves to the ghetto on In Living Colour (FX, 10:30pm).
Tom Cavanaugh (of Ed) on a rerun of The Late Show w/ David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).
Billy Joel and Elton John on a rerun of The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm; may be delayed ‘cuz of basketball).
The Sportscentury (ESPN Classic, 11pm) profile of Mickey Mantle. Sportscentury is such a good show, that I find myself even watching profiles of athletes I don’t care about.
“The Hungry and the Hunted” episode of Sports Night (Comedy Central, 12:30am).
People keep telling me to check out The Sentinel (Sci-Fi, 1am) so maybe I’ll give it a chance once of these nights.
