The Fall 2001 Schedule Grid.

This weekend’s TV Land Fandemonium marathon is of Laverne & Shirley (TV Land, 5am Saturday – 5am Monday).

There’s another new episode of Xena, Warrior Princess (syndicated, check your local listings) this weekend.

Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn in Charade (AMC, 5pm).

Series finale of Walker, Texas Ranger (CBS, 7pm-9pm).

“Flapjack Do It Again” episode of Good Eats (Food Network, 8pm and 11pm).

Season finale of The District (CBS, 9pm).

Jessie goes to see a therapist (Edward Zwick) for the first time and it becomes clear that her problems have a lot to do with her parents relationship on Once and Again (Lifetime, 10pm).

Season finale of Mad TV (FOX, 10pm).

Christopher Walken hosts the season finale of Saturday Night Live (NBC, check your local listings). With musical guest Weezer.

New episodes of Black Scorpion (Sci-Fi, 11pm) and The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne (Sci-Fi, midnight).

Wiseguy (Court TV, 1am).

Sunday, May 20, 2001

Comedy Central has a Whose Line Is It Anyway marathon in the afternoon.

White Heat (TCM, 5pm) is featured on The Essentials, hosted by Rob Reiner.

Good Eats (Food Network, 5:30pm). A rerun of the Lobster episode.

Game 7 of the 1987 World Series (ESPN Classic, 6pm-8pm). Twins vs. Cardinals.

Two classic romantic comedies are on opposite each other. What’s a girl to do? It’s Some Like It Hot (TCM, 7pm) vs. It Happened One Night (AMC, 7pm and midnight). Both are great, of course.

The season finale of The Simpsons (FOX, 7pm) is preceeded by two reruns of The Simpsons from earlier this year.

New Nero Wolfe (A&E, 7pm and 11pm) is a conclusion of a two-parter.

Faye Dunaway guest stars on the season finale of Touched By An Angel (CBS, 7pm).

Season finales of all the UPN sitcoms and since a number of them aren’t coming back, they count as series finales, too.

Season finale of Malcolm in the Middle (FOX, 7:30pm).

When we last left Agent Scully, she was on the run from some nasty nasty aliens who are after her baby because it’s a miracle, or something. If you can believe Krycek. Mulder and Skinner managed to slow one alien down as Scully escaped with Agent Reyes, but there are other aliens around. Plus, you know, Krycek. This week’s season finale of The X-Files (FOX, 8pm) picks up where last week’s episode left off, more or less. In theory, it ends the Mulder and Scully era of the show, even though The X-Files will continue next year (and, of course, there may be another X-Files movie).

Season finale of The Sopranos (HBO, 8pm).

Brenda Blethyn, Ben Kingsley, and Lili Taylor are among the stars of Anne Frank (ABC, 8pm; part 1 of 2).

Sam Neill and Emily Procter star in Submerged (NBC, 8pm). Based on the true story about a submarine that sank in 1939.

Rerun of the season finale of Law & Order: Special Victim’s Unit (USA, 10pm). With guest stars Richard Thomas and Karen Allen.

Funniest. Series. Ever. Space Ghost Coast to Coast (Cartoon Network, 11pm).

Crucial first season episode of Millennium (FX, midnight).

Wiseguy (Court TV, 1am).
