Tom Selleck + a terrier = a cute episode of Magnum, P.I. (A&E, 10am and 4pm). “Sir Algernon Farnsworth, also known as the ugliest dog in Hawaii, becomes the target of kidnappers and Magnum must protect the terrier.” I just like saying “Algernon Farnsworth.”

Things get pretty bleak in “The Face of the Enemy” episode of Babylon 5 (Sci-Fi, 6pm, letterboxed). But I bet it all looks cool letterboxed!

James Stewart and Kim Novak in Hitchcock’s Vertigo (AMC, 7pm and 2am, letterboxed).

I’m not gonna mope ‘cuz Buffy and Angel are reruns, nope, I’m not. ‘Cuz there are new episodes of plenty of other shows I haven’t watched in a while. Yeah.

There are new episodes of JAG (CBS, 7pm), That ’70s Show (FOX, 7pm), and Third Rock from the Sun (NBC, 7pm). Plus I still haven’t caught one minute of DAG (NBC, 7:30pm) and I’m a little curious about it.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (WB, 7pm) is a rerun of the one where Xander has an evil twin. You shouldn’t notice the usual weird stand-in who doesn’t really have the same build as the person they’re supposed to be as Nicholas Brendon’s real-life twin helped in the making of this episode (though reportedly Brendon’s twin didn’t have any lines).

Gerard Butler stars as Attila (USA, 8pm) in a new two-part miniseries (conclusion airs tomorrow). Tim Curry and Powers Boothe also star.

First two episodes of Freaks and Geeks (Fox Family Channel, 7pm and 8pm). In case you still haven’t seen them (what are you waiting for?).

Wesley impersonates Angel (WB, 8pm) and plays bodyguard to the daughter of a wizard.

Frasier and Niles cause trouble in auto-repair class (no shocker there) on a new Frasier (NBC, 8pm). There’s also a new Dharma & Greg (ABC, 8pm) and I still haven’t tried Three Sisters (NBC, 8:30pm) and probably should.

Amy has a custody case involving an HIV-positive mother on Judging Amy (CBS, 9pm).

Diane and Danny investigate a rape at a hotel on NYPD Blue (ABC, 9pm).

New episode of Beggars and Choosers (Showtime, 9pm).

Bette Davis, Paul Henreid, and Claude Rains in Now, Voyager (TCM, 9:30pm).

Dyan Cannon on The Daily Show w/ Jon Stewart (Comedy Central, 10pm).

Susan Hawk (of Survivor) guest stars on a new 18 Wheels of Justice (TNN, 10pm).

Bayliss’ affair with Emma Zoole continues in the “Happy To Be Here” episode of Homicide: Life on the Street (Court TV, 10pm).

Dolly Parton, William Peterson (from C.S.I.) on The Late Show w/ David Letterman (CBS, 10:35pm).

Geena Davis, Stephen Wright, Ricky Skaggs and Bruce Hornsby on The Tonight Show (NBC, 10:35pm).

Denise Richards, William Shatner, John Pizzarelli on Late Night w/ Conan O’Brien (NBC, check your local listings).

The two-part second season finale of Millennium (FX, midnight) is astonishing, stunning TV. Stunning visually, amazing in a lot of ways. The first part (“The Fourth Horseman”) airs tonight. Frank investigates a mysterious disease, Lara Means (Kristin Cloke) disappears . . .

Don’t forget that SCTV is airing in the old Later timeslot Mondays-Thursdays (NBC, check your local listings).
